We came here to eat while we were in Nashville shopping on a day trip. It was a family trip so there was 9 of us. We had 3 kids with us, one of the children asked for a coke, her mother said she could have a sprite or Fanta or juice whatever she wanted but no caffeine (this was due to medication), one of the other kids got a coke and the other a apple juice. The 1st child said she was fine with sprite. Said waitress then brings out a coke for the child anyway after hearing us say no because of her meds and decided it was her place to say that it wasn’t fair she couldn’t get what she asked for when the other kids could which was NOT her place. She said okay I’ll take a sprite and was completely fine it never upset her she knows her meds she is almost 11. It was not an accident obviously but her comment.
Then we ordered our food, simple things, queso, fajitas, quesadillas, a taco salad, the kids ordered from the kids menu.

The kids ask for ketchup, they bring out 1 packet of ketchup we asked for like a bottle or a little bowl or anything that all the kids needed it. She brung 3 packets. The kids took their food to go so we could go eat at home with ketchup.

Our food. A order of Chicken fajitas were $45 and absolutely terrible. It was a SINGLE chicken breast cut up with no seasoning and some onions and peppers. Tasted nothing like fajitas like it was microwaved grilled chicken no flavor nothing. Did not eat it. Picture of the size of the order and that was what was left on table. We ate half of one flour tortilla of fajita.

The taco salad was not a taco salad it was lettuce with meat and cheese. Not kind of church maybe a oz of meat and so dry that the woman that ordered it asked for some queso to put on it and it took 20 minutes to get a side of queso. She also didn’t eat

When asked if we wanted boxes we said no thank you. The lady made a comment that we had a lot of food left and we said that it was honestly very bland little seasoning and just overall terrible food. The didn’t act like it was the first time.

The resolution? They comped our soft drinks. We paid over $200 total for everyone to “eat” and went to McDonald’s after.

Positive- they have good ranch.

We travelled from DC to Nashville just to go. We were looking for new places to try and couldn’t remember if we had been to Chuy’s but after we sat down we remembered we went to the one in Springfield, Virginia.

Upon arrival, (Sunday, 10/26/25 at approximately 2 or 3p) there was a girl at the host stand (I tried to look at her name tag). I THINK it was Alicia, however, Alicia didn’t speak or acknowledge us AT ALL. She didn’t say a word. She stood there shuffling through whatever she was doing, and then another woman walked up a few moments later, asked us how can she help us (Alicia walked off) and she took us to get our seats.

When we got to our seats, they was refried beans and some other stuff splattered on the seat. Since the one who seated us had already walked off I went back to the host stand to let the girl know who sat us down and she said OK give me a minute and then she proceeded to go see someone else. A guy was at the front that I believe was the manager and he quickly came and cleaned it up. Our waiter came and he bought our chips and salsa. I immediately saw something sticking out of the salsa (not sure how he missed it), but I couldn’t be too sure what it was until I got a closer look. Once I looked, I discovered it was one of those twisty tie things with that thin wire that comes on a loaf of bread to close it (picture attached). I saw who I believe was the manager again, and I quickly notified him and he came and he got it. He apologized and he bought us some fresh salsa. I didn’t like the way the salsa looked anyway, even without the twisty thing sticking out of it, so I didn’t eat any. He then bought us some queso for the inconvenience.

Although already turned off by the place because of “Alicia”, the beans and the salsa mishap I decided to stick it out. The queso was actually really good. We ordered the flautas and the shrimp Baja tacos. The flautas were ok so no complaints there and the shrimp tacos had a nice flavor but the presentation sucked. We both ordered frozen margaritas that gave no kind of buzz but they were really good.

I then asked for silverware (I usually ask for plastics but just said forget it). The waiter bought them and when I took them out the paper sleeve (that read “this silverware has been sanitized for your protection” might I add) that they came in, that too was a turn off. I then asked for plastics (as I should have to begin with) because the silverware wasn’t too clean the waiter chuckled a little (not in a rude way but as if “sheesh they can’t catch a break” kinda way) and he bought us plastics. The manager and the waiter were polite, the experience not the best.

We had the big as your face burrito. It was very tasty. I had the yex-mex sauce. At first I was not sure about the salsa looked light red in color. But it tasted great. It had a little kick. The servicer was very responsive.

Ate here earlier this week with my family. I had soft tacos, rice and beans. Waiter was nice and helpful. Enjoyed my food and atmosphere. This restaurant is at the mall.

We were told there was a 25 wait. After 25 minutes, we were told it would be at least another 15 minutes. Because we had a show to get to, we pivoted and made a to go order. It took 40 minutes to get enchiladas! The hostess didn’t make it a priority order. Got our food but no time to eat it until after the show. Not good cold. We are OG Chuy’s patrons (from Austin). We won’t be back to this location in Nashville. Too many restaurants (including other Chuy’s) to deal with this type of service and disorganization.

While this is a chain, if you like Tex-Mex food they have always done a very good job on a budget. their food is exactly like most of the restaurants on the Riverwalk. They’ve done a good job of updating their menu and their sauces are always fresh and made in house.

ThisChuy’s location is an absolute disappointment. I’ve been to several locations and I love the food, but the one in Opry mills mall is a complete upset. To be in such a high traffic area and the only one around to serve several surrounding cities, it is Never well staffed and the food is 60% consistent at best. The quality is always lacking at this location. I keep trying to give them a chance because I love Chuy’s but they are poorly serving the opry mills location. Please send them help!!

Had a table of 7 and we got in fairly quickly. Waitress was incredible. Every order was correct and we never waited for anything. Food was great. Even the picky eaters enjoyed there meals.

I go to this Chuy’s with my family very often, we love it here! All of the food items are great, especially the comida deluxe which is also good value for what you get. My partner loves the flautas, they made sure I put it in this review so nobody misses out haha.
The service and waiters are top star, and the atmosphere is wonderful! There’s a reason we keep coming back and it’s not just because of the food. Highly recommended you try it!

Food is good, but it is not beyond my expectations, just normal Mexican food like what you can get in Chili’s. However, 3 out of 4 of us had mild stomachs after the food especially the free deserts, sorbet. Trash. I give 3 stars for the flavors. Quality of the food is debatable. Service is pretty good. Really honest guy telling us that was enough for us and not to over order stuff.
