The chicken was very dry and hard. It was either overcooked or had been sitting under the hot light for a very long time. They also forgot to add my okra to the order. I had to return to get it. The Manager was not customer friendly. She looked at me rudely and didn’t say one word but gave me the okra and walked away. No apology or acknowledgment of any type. She needs to take some customer service classes. The experience was not good for business.

I’ve been to almost every Church’s in the Baton Rouge vicinity over the decades including the now closed Scotlandville store where I actually had my first taste of this chicken eons ago as I lived in the area back then. Never been to this location on highland Rd. Unfortunately many other Church’s, which was probably the most popular place to get chicken before Popeyes took over, have closed stores in Baton Rouge over the last several years and only a few left now. I was home visiting and had a craving for Church’s. I tried to go to the government st. store as it’s closer but didn’t want to wait in the always backed up drive thru. I ended up driving way down to this highland location and well worth the trip. Friendly employees and hot fresh chicken and was in and out in minutes. In fact my first time trying the spicy and more kick than Popeye’s. I will definitely be back to this store even if it’s out of the way.

I would give them a star but I can’t because the general manager is so rude and fuss at the coworkers like they are children ask for hot chicken and they tell me it’s just came up and it’s just be sitting there chicken sit for 30 mins and the mash potatoes be sitting up there for hours and the gravy be spoiled they keep the Mac and Cheese and rice from the day before and just warm it up in the oven the only way I go up there if diamond and Erin and Marcus is up there because they give you everything you ask for fresh can’t hear over the general manager she is loud and rude

Food is always hot and good and fresh never old and doesn’t hurt my stomach like other church’s. I will always drive way out to this church’s before I go to one on my side of town.

I am not sure about this location, but I have visited Zachary location and the one in Baker when they was opened as well as the location on government street. When I placed my order no matter what I get its most likely always the same. When I order mashed potatoes at all the above locations I always request for no gravy and they honor this request. However, when I go to the location on Highland road I am always told I cannot get the mashed potatoes without getting the gravy, so why do some locations honor my request and highland road location always say no. These people are so rude and unprofessional they need to take a class on their communication skills management is just as horrible as the staff.

This store drives through is closed. This store opens 1 hour later than they posted online. Plus, the food isn’t nearly ready when they open. It’s a total waste of time they keep sending me to Popeyes. Look at how said management is at this location. I love churches chicken, but they act like Burger King View the photo
