The uploaded pictures are of order 3 and order 1, respectively, made online on the merchant’s website. The orders were fulfilled via doordash. The paper bag for order one looked unsecured, having only one sticker and staples on both sides of the handles. The paper bag of the second order had two stickers, staples on both sides of the handles, and the food was satisfactorily hot! The first online order arrived lukewarm, but the sides were hot and fresh. The spicy chicken looked reheated and was old. The biscuits were acceptable but not hot. This 8-piece spicy chicken looked NOTHING like a church’s advertisement. The first order included a free 2-piece chicken with a charge for the biscuit and a jalapeño pepper. The chicken thigh of the 2-piece was partially undercooked. I reported this order both online and on the phone to the corporate office of church’s chicken. Nothing was done to perfect this issue. Order 3 was made March 31, 2025, during a free delivery promotion, but we were charged a delivery fee. The spicy chicken had feathers, were underseasoned, lukewarm, and old. I think fish was cooked in the same oil as this chicken. The biscuits of this order were different in texture but were acceptable in taste and texture, but nothing like the original church’s chicken quality. The 10-piece spicy chicken came with two large sides and biscuits with a free regular-sized drink. The drink and one family side were not delivered. The order was reported to the general manager, Gloria, but she didn’t do right to address the major inconvenience of having our dinner shortened. Why come to this store to address YOUR WRONG for a delivery order. At the store, the delivery fee was refunded in cash and paired with the missing two ordered items and a free 2-piece meal. The mashed potatoes and gravy were less in both quantity and quality. For years, my family and I have enjoyed church chicken, but this right here is a fraud of what was once a decent business. Before the online orders, never did I pluck a feather from my chicken or felt cheated in my food. This was our last order from here! I recommend nothing from here because the quality of the food and of the service aren’t good! Look at the other low rated reviews.

I am writing to report a deeply unprofessional and disruptive experience caused entirely by on-site management.
While I was attempting to place an order, the employee assisting me and the manager became involved in a loud, heated verbal argument in front of customers. The manager abruptly stopped the employee from completing my order, pulled her away to the back, and told me I would “have to wait,” despite the fact that two other employees were present behind the counter and capable of continuing service. Instead of prioritizing customers, service was halted due to the manager’s behavior.
The manager then addressed me rudely regarding a water refill, stating I could not get one after leaving, and dismissively commented, “Why does a customer need water anyway? Don’t they have that at home?” — again, before my order had even been taken, and while I was trying to place an eat-in order.
She later proceeded to yell at another employee in front of customers for putting “too much okra” into a $3.99 container. Publicly reprimanding staff in this manner reflects poor leadership, low professionalism, and creates a hostile work environment that customers are forced to witness.
This was not a staffing issue — it was a management failure. The treatment of employees and customers was unacceptable and reflects poorly on the brand as a whole. I strongly encourage corporate leadership to review this location’s management practices. Behavior like this should not be tolerated in a customer-facing role.

Ms. Tanya at Church’s Chicken on Decatur (GA) is EVERYTHING!
From the moment I walked in, I could tell this location was on point — clean, organized, and well-managed. Ms. Tanya greeted everyone with professionalism and kindness.
Let’s talk about the food: FRESH. HOT. FANTASTIC.
The chicken was perfectly cooked, the sides were fresh, and everything was well put together. You could tell care went into every order. I’m not easily impressed, but this visit was a 10 out of 10 for me. Ms. Tanya, you did your thing — I’ll definitely be back!

I usually NEVER come here ever , but this is my second time coming and it’s just as bad as my first visit! They are out of honey on both visits which were months apart. Then you didn’t put silverware in my bag, so how am I supposed to eat my sides? Not to mention the chicken was full of grease and LACKED FLAVOR. Then had I saw that score of an 84 in the beginning , I wouldn’t even bothered myself ! Do better.

I didn’t necessarily have a bad experience or anything. My order was correct. My only thing is my iced tea was warm and so of course, the ice melted. then Gentleman that helped me at the window was at the inside counter a young girl walked by the window, and I asked her about for a cup of ice because the ice tea was so warm and the young lady told me, they don’t have courtesy cups and it was a $1.85 For a cup of ice, i told her my eyes was warm she just walked away!! Nobody came back to the window or anything. So I wasn’t thrilled about that experience. This was about 12:30 on Sunday Feb1st.

Got my entire order wrong. I ordered boneless wings and I got wings with bones and I ordered an apple pie and didn’t get it . And I don’t know whose fault is it Church’s Chichen or the driver

Man the people there are cool as all get out but as for professionalism could be more appropriate but as for as food its ok sometimes depending on the cook but time value varies sometimes fast sometimes it takes a while. We all know it’s hard to find adequate help and some one willing to work at the restaurants but school kids mainly and they don’t understand how to act in different elements

Stopped by to get one of the seafood deals that is advertised on their window and parking lot only to be told they don’t sell that anymore. Asked for the lemon cheese cake and was informed they don’t sell that anymore neither. This item is also multi-advertised.
I finally decided on chicken only to get home and see my chicken is dark like the grease is only and my Mac and cheese is burnt and old. The Mac was so old the food container it was in crumbled at the bottom.

After a long day of teaching, I was not in the mood to cook. Since I was already in the area shopping at Lidl, I decided to grab some dinner at Church’s Texas Chicken. It has been so long since I went to Church’s that I had forgotten what the food tasted like!
Before I start talking about the food, let’s talk about customer service. When I walked in there, there was no one manning the register because they were busy packing the food for other customers. However, I barely got to the counter, and less than a minute later I received immediate customer care! A young lady by the name of Shalisiona, took my order. She was fast, efficient, and had a good attitude. The best part was she gave me fresh chicken! I told her because she gave great customer service, I would leave a good review! Well done, Shalisiona! As a teacher, I will give you an A+.
Now let’s talk about the food. Whoever was on cooking duty today, on Wednesday, August 7th, you deserve an applause! Our chicken was moist on the inside and crispy on the outside! The coleslaw was fresh and crunchy with a hint of sweetness. I didn’t eat any mashed potatoes and gravy, but my son said it was good. As for the biscuits, they were the best ones I’ve had in a long time! When you bit into it, it was surprisingly crunchy on the outside but light and fluffy on the inside. The light dusting of honey on top was just the right amount. I love that the biscuit was not dense or taste heavy! If biscuit making was part of the Olympics, y’all deserve a gold medal!
Go try out the Church’s Texas chicken on Covington Highway in Lithonia. The food/meal might not be as big as Texas in terms of size, but the taste sure was worth the stop. Just remember, my review is based on the day I went!

I sat in the drive thru for 20 minutes and watched other patrons leave because no one came to the mic to take their order. When it was my turn, after also waiting, I just pulled around to the window because I didn’t know what was going on. I told the young man in the window that people were pulling away so I came around. He looked petrified, saying that he is not allowed to take my/any orders at the window… kept looking back at his manager like he was going to get into trouble! (?) I said then why didn’t some one come on the mic to tell us what was going on in the line? All he kept saying was that I have a timer on my Window and I can’t take orders at the window… whatever that means! If there is a timer, you should realize that we had been waiting for 20nins without service! I refused to go back into that ridiculousIy long line, so I left and went to Popeye’s up the street!
