Overall it was a pleasant visit. The staff were very polite and professional. However the food could use some improvement. The chicken was very tasty. The sweet tea was good. The fries were not good. They were bland with no taste. The biscuit could use more butter to enrich the taste. Honestly I was a little disappointed because it has been years since eating at a Church’s restaurant. I was excited seeing the establishment in Sumter and was eager to stop. Maybe I will try again one day if the Lord’s will.

Wow….I should’ve known that when I pulled up to the drive thru and waited for three minutes and had to say “hello” before someone came on the loudspeaker and asked me for my order that it wasn’t going to be a good experience. I ordered my food and was told to drive up to the window for my total. I paid and waited for five minutes at the window before I was told to pull up and they would bring me my food. 10 minutes later I finally got my spicy chicken combo. The fries were not hot and the chicken sandwich barely had sauce on it. Not sure what took so long, since nothing tasted like it just came out, and more like it just sat there for a while.

Staff forgot my fries, glad I checked bag before I left windows. Building had boards over 2 areas; apparently had some damage. Biscuits and fries were delicious, chicken sandwich was ok!

I don’t know how people can even give 2 stars to this restaurant, is one of the nastiest places I have ever seen, went to the bathroom to clean my hands, and covered up my face with my t-shirt, that was the only time that I wish to have a mask, window dirty, walls dirty, floor dirty, nobody was wearing gloves, the smell was bad, I ordered a sandwich they gave me a piece of charcoal, ceiling was about to come down, tubes light fixture with out cover, staff listening hip-hop so loud like they were at club, trash everywhere, customer service really bad…i pay for my meal and as soon as I get to my truck I put everything on the trash, I not even trying, not even the drink, those places have to be revived, the nasties place for food I ever been, if you eat over there and you don’t notice nothing what I mentioned then you are nasty too

Wasn’t a fan of the chicken at all flavour wise. Fries are crinkle cut and most are soggy also wasn’t a fan. However loved that you could see your food being prepared.

202 W Liberty Street, Sumter, SC 29150. The Churches Sign in the drive thru was damage and hanging. The sign gave way while I was exiting the drive thru. I spoke to the manager who informed me the damage sign was reported to her general manager. She contacted the general manager about the incident. The police department was notified. However, the employee would not provide me any additional contact information to resolve the matter including the general manager name. The manager on shift 07/7/2024 @4:32 pm provided no additional assistance other than contacting her supervisor. I even had to remove the fallen sign out of the drive thru my self. Eventually, once the police arrived an employee did remove to sign from the parking lot area. Estimated cost of repairs to my car update $ 4000 SMH update no one from Churches Chicken has contacted me to date. I did follow up with the store manager today, and was informed the regional manager would Dominic would be reaching out to me. I have estimates claims windshield and damage to the hood of my car totalling about $4000.
