The atmosphere was great. Books and nice chairs for reading while sipping coffee. Service was okay by high school students who learned to practice business skills. Coffee was subpar. More of a rendezvous point than a coffee lover’s heaven.

What a lovely place. I came here on a Sunday seeking a relaxing place to have coffee and read a book. Lovely staff, good coffee, and definitely try the breakup cookie.

Hazelnut cappuccino was delicious, just enough sweetness. The breakup cookie was alright. More outdoor seating would be really nice but they did have some comfy chairs on the side.

Such a cute little coffee shop and book store! Great atmosphere, upstairs, kid nook, and cozy patio. Moka and Wren made us delicious Amaretto Chai Lattes, and a berry apple juice for our kiddo, and the pastries made by Ian were great! Try the Breakup Cookie. Wish we could’ve stayed longer on our way back home, but we’ll be back for sure!

This place is AWESOME! Great coffee, great bakery items (shortbread cookies and the breads are just fantastic!), reasonably priced, and the UAB students working there are great! I’d give Church Street ten stars if I could! If I lived in the state, I’d be there every day!

Busy, but for good reason. Went here for the first time on Sunday. Had a cappuccino and a breakup cookie. Staff went out of their way to let me know if I had a few minutes that they had a fresh batch of cookies coming out soon, so I waited and was definitely not disappointed. The breakup cookie seriously has to be one of the best desserts in town and the coffee and vibe were great to sit down and stay a while.

That breakup cookie is worth ALL the hype, it was delicious Great little place, you can’t go wrong with books and coffee. The Treehugger granola bar was also really good! It was a little hard to find at night if, like me, you’re not familiar with the area but it is a drive I do not regret! There’s a reason this place is on a bunch of ‘Things to do in Birmingham’ lists!
