I’ve been to Chunky and Bops three times now. The first time I ordered a chicken and cheese sub, it was amazing. The second time was still pretty good, but this third visit was really disappointing.
The chicken wasn’t even chopped up properly, which made the sandwich harder to eat. On top of that, there was way too much cheese—and it wasn’t even melted. Every bite was overwhelmed by unmelted cheese instead of a balanced flavor.
Hoping this was just an off day, but this experience definitely didn’t match the quality I got before.

Cheesesteak Stromboli. Mama Lucia could never. The owner is right there is the kitchen making his food with passion and love. Greeting the customers and making sure they’re satisfied. You pay a little more but you get more. The serving sizes are more than generous as my hand shows the size perspective. This Stromboli could definitely feed a family. The slices on the front are enough for 1 person. Thank you Chunky and Bop. I’ll keep coming back for the Philly style cheesesteak, not the DC steak N cheese.

I was nearby and craving a good steak & cheese, Chunky and Bop’s kept popping up on my timeline. I love supporting Black-owned businesses, so I stopped in and ordered the 6″ Little Bop’s Royal Cheesesteak. Definitely glad I did! Nothing was little about it lol I enjoyed every bite. Service was good. I ordered online. It said 20 min but order was ready in less time. I walked in and walked right out with food! Worth the money!

This place is amazing! The owner is boots on the ground and will tell you all about his journey if you ask. He’s a Philly native bringing a classic to our very own Landover MD. It’s the perfect location if you’re walking to Northwest Stadium for a tailgate or a bite before the game. The cheesesteak was LOADED and so delicious! The fries were the perfect amount of seasoned and crispy, the cheese cup was perfect!
The staff also a 10/10! Great service, food came out HOT and FRESH!
They also offer freshly made juices, I opted for the strawberry and it did not disappoint. I loved my entire experience and can’t wait to go back.

I rate this place a 10/10 !! Cooked to perfection I couldn’t wait to get a bite in and I ended up eating the whole entire sandwich before the game. The parking was crazy because of the game but I have no complaints. If you need somewhere to grab a great nice bite before the game then I would highly suggest this place! Thank you chunky & bops I will be back to visit with my family! Ps what I did love the most was of course the food but the seating! So comfortable!

This wasn’t my first time eating here nor will it be the last. Top tier food in this great establishment. First time I tried them was at the food hall in College Park, but now they are even closer to where I live I’m in heaven!!! I decided to try something new and I was not disappointed. My wife ordered the chicken cheesesteak and it was really tasty. I prefer the steak cheesesteak but that’s on me lol. I ordered the G-pop hoagie and dare I say excellent! Love it here and will visit soon

Well, I’ve heard so much about this place decided to take a drive from Annapolis down to get a cheesesteak and the cheesesteak was delicious but I specifically said no onions or peppers on the hoagie and as you can see by looking at the receipt and the photos there are onions on the sandwich. The atmosphere, well I wouldn’t sit down there to eat not a restaurant at all. Also, they don’t accept cash electronic payments oy and NO apple pay! That’s why I didn’t leave them a tip so unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be visiting his place again. Good luck with your business.

This cheesesteak was so good I briefly forgot how GPS works. Thank goodness for Google Maps, because I have absolutely no idea how I ended up at Chunky & Bop’s—but I do know I’ll be back. One bite in and I knew this was elite-level cheesesteak activity. Juicy, messy, and worth every nap afterward. They offer 6, 9, 12, and 18 inch subs, which is great because you can choose between “I’m just hungry” and “I have no plans for the rest of the day.” Easily one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve ever had. If you find yourself here by accident, congratulations—you’ve won.

First time ordering through doordash but my third time eating from here. Got a 18 inch to share with my kids. They loved it… so so so delicious and full of flavor. I got the cheesesteak with fried onions, green peppers, provolone cheese, ketchup and mayo on fresh sub bread. Yum yum and yum!!!

Restaurant has a smell. Over priced food no seasoning. Best thing on the menu is the French fries. They are seasoned. The bread for the sandwhich taste stale and very thick. $60 for a 6inch and 9inch sub a burger and 2 fries. No attention to detail for cleanliness rugs dirty the screen to order food absolutely disgusting. Not once has it been wiped down for sanitation. 3 screens I assume where menu would be not working. No kids menu was a shock. Overall bad experience not tasty especially for the price and quality of food. Do not recommend
