Food was delicious and there was so much of it! The cucumber kitchenware our favorite and something I could eat every dang day. We drove about an hour and a half to get Korean BBQ for the first time after seeing this place on tiktok….we didn’t end up getting it after we realized the price…definitely worth the amount/quality, we just weren’t prepared to drop $80+. We’re coming back when we’re less poor because it looked and smelled amazing. It was all delicious. So happy

Delicious stew, price is fair. Recommend their soup selections, seafood pancakes, and steamed egg. Pork feet is okay – a little hard to chew. No reservations needed

Great experience and even better food. We have been looking around for a good Korean bbq, and we were not disappointed. Helpful, friendly staff. We ended up ordering the combo for 2 and had a ton left over. Soo much food! We couldn’t bring it all home, I feel like bringing my own containers for everything lol

It had been years since I’d had Korean BBQ and when my friend suggested it, I jumped on the opportunity. The original place we were going to go was closed because of a snow storm, but Chung Ki Wa was not only open, but the best place we could have ended up.

I have tried many Korean restaurants in other states and this is the first one I tried in metro Detroit area. I have to say it’s a little disappointing and there are some items I want to highlight. First, we ordered Korea bbq and the pork belly was not like the ones I had in other restaurants: it contained almost all fat! The pork belly I had in other Korean restaurants was instead a perfect combination of fat and thin meat. Second, their varieties of side dishes are much fewer than what I had in Ohio: lacking pickled cucumber, green peppers, and radish. Third, the dipping sauce for the bbq also lacks varieties. I would have three different dipping sauces on one platter when dining in some Korea restaurants in Ohio. Fourth, service was slow but acceptable. Overall, I may have too high expectations of this place after reading the reviews and the food was not that impressive. I will keep trying other Korean restaurants and hopefully I can find one comparable to the Korean restaurant I like in Ohio.

I actually enjoy the food there, BBQ is recommended, but I don’t think they have good service.

This place was simply AMAZING!!! 4 Korean women in our 50s (sisters) came to enjoy some Korean food while visiting one of the sisters, and we could not believe just how good the food was. The owner lady generous and sweet, asking how everything was and giving us extra side dishes. Every single dish was on point! It was probably one of the best Korean meal we had in very long time, and this includes food from LA, San Francisco and even Korea, lol. We definitely and wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Food is okay but the owner, which who is the old lady that wear a Rolex watch, has a terrible attitude. Oh and they don’t know how to apologize for their mistakes. I usually eat there almost every weekend, and brought so many customers for them. They charge my tips on a credit cards again even though I already tips the waitress in cash, I didn’t write down how much tips I will gives in the receipt, so please don’t make mistakes by leaving the receipt blank. Put a big zero down if you tips in cash, or else they added tips again in your credit card. when I try to call them they said I never tips the waitress, so I have to drive back to straight thing out. When I got there the other lady said oh she just added the wrong tips to a different customer using my credit card. There’s no one words of apology for what they have done whatsoever. Since that day I never went back.
