On a search for the best crispy beef or equivalent in Cincinnati and friend referred me here and said the equivalent dish would be Sautéed Hot Beef Shreds. I was in the area and stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. They were just setting up the tables and I was the only person there. I asked if the Sautéed Hot Beef Shreds were similar to crispy beef explaining the dish, and got a confused look. Not a good sign… I ordered the Hot and Sour Soup and the Sautéed Hot Beef Shreds. Soup came out fairly quickly. It lacked flavor and screamed for some form of seasoning. The Sautéed Hot Beef Shreds arrived next. First bite and new this was not a similar dish. Not much spice or flavor and definitely not crisp. I am glad I stopped in to try to support a local business and appreciate the friendly service, but my search continues.

We’ve been coming to Chung Chung for years. It’s the best Chinese, and REAL Chinese food. The wonton soup and everything else is truly handmade with great recipes. You cannot lose here! Those pics are what you get for one lunch .. awesome!

When it first walked in I was skeptical it smelled very fishy. It’s also very small inside. I ordered a large wonton soup it had little black things floating in it and tasted really burnt. I went back to the store they were close but I called once they were open she told me to come back and get my money. After I got there and she gave the money back her exact words were “don’t order here any more we don’t have that size “ she didn’t seem sorry for wasting my time and selling bs food.

Great! I like the tofu dishes one of the shrimp dishes was a little too Mae Ploy and the other had exoskeleton with flavor that was hard to know whether to eat or not. Flavorful.

I hear people say that little dive places usually have the best food, and Chung Ching does not disappoint. By far the best Chinese food I have ever had! If you want your food spicy, they actually know how to do it here!! Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. We will be repeat customers!
