New and a little uncertain, but all around excellent! Friendly, helpful service and absolutely fantastic food. An blast of spice choices on the table. Decor that’s clearly Thai and good fun. Look at the menu and just do it, whether it’s to eat there or take away. Yum!

Chuchok is a character in one of Buddha reincarnation stories. He was a mean old man who ate too much that his stomach exploded.

It’s refreshing to hear such a creative and cultural name for a Thai restaurant in the USA. It also means that there must be at least one Thai in the establishing team. And that means we are going to have some real Thai food. (More or less )

We went there around 1PM on Wednesday, it was kind of calm. (It has been open recently maybe not many people know yet.)

Our lunch :

Papaya salad : I asked them to add 2 chillis up in the salad to get as close as we eat in Thailand possible and I got it. (Not recommended for Non-Thai) There was an ingredients they cut off which was dried shrimp. It’s understandable since it could be too stinky for one who does not like its smell.

Chicken Satay : the cooking and the texture was perfect soft and juicy. For the marinade, I think they could mild it down a little bit, just a little or give more cucumber prickle to help washing or softening the spice heat in the mouth.

Phad See-iw (sautéed flat rice noodle with black soya sauce, chicken, vegetable) in the special lunch set : We heard the sound of Wok playing with strong fire, we knew it was going to be good. And it was cooked to perfection.

With 8 clients maximum sitting capacity, you may be recommended to call them to make a reservation for the dinner. As it is a small restaurant with a small kitchen with —I guess—not more than 2 cooks, you will have to be patient.

Be prepared, be cool and smile like Thais.
And try not to eat too much as Chuchok did.

Nice little eatery:
There is limited sitting area inside (8 people) and a table outside. The house where the restaurant is pretty.
The menu is simple but quite thorough.
The Phad Se Yew Gai (Large sauted flat noodles in a dark sauce with chicken) is really tasty with fresh ingredients and the rea taste of the work.
The sticky rice with mango and coconut sweet milk is good too.
You can also order food to go if you want so.

This place is pickup only. Ordered around 2pm via email for a 5pm and it was right on time. Got the pad kee mow and pad prik khing. The food is good though not my favorite Thai place in Westchester. I would come back though it’s an old option for Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow areas

What a treat! Been searching for good Thai in Sleepy Hollow (I’ve been spoiled with phenomial ones in the city), and discovered this quaint husband and wife restaurant. The decor and arrangement immediately makes you feel like you are eating at a friend’s home; you feel welcomed with warmth and wished you could’ve stayed a little longer when you leave.

The food is exceptionally well done; the shrimp rolls were fried to perfection with a sweet Thai sauce, the pad see ew had a deep soy sauce flavor that permeates through the noodles, and shrimp pad Thai where you can taste almost every ingredient in it (the slight tamarind taste shines through and does not overpower). I felt like I was eating at home!

I am very glad to finally find a Thai place I can consider a second home.

P.S. they do delivery and lunch specials!
P.P.S. the photos of the other dishes mentioned are not available because I ate them too quickly. Oops!

Keep in mind, this place is takeout only, but it’s absolutely worth it. While living in Westchester County, I would plan entire days around ordering $80 or more worth of food, including appetizers, soups, salads, main entrees, and dessert from here. Everything tasted incredible. I usually emailed my order ahead of time, and once they opened, they would confirm it and have it ready right on time.

Some of my favorites are the large Tom Yum soup (leftovers taste even better with added veggies the next day), the shrimp rolls, the green papaya salad which is absolutely to die for , and the dusty roti, which is perfectly soft, warm, and packed with flavor (peanuts and condensed milk?? chefs kiss). And that’s just what I can remember for now.

This is the kind of place I would gladly cross the Tappan Zee Bridge for every time I visit New York. I promise, you won’t find a better spot to eat.
1,000,000 out of 10.

Food is great

Located on the actual horseman’s bridge. Not the fake one in the cemetery.

Treat yourself to one of their tshirts. Bought one on Saturday, Monday it’s my favorite shirt. I believe the composition indicates that the headless horseman traded his pumpkin head for delicious take away.

Their spicy beef salad is phenomenal and addictive. The wait can be long but it’s totally worth it. Email ahead of time.
Just wish they also made Tom Kha.

Honestly, I was really looking forward to trying this place for the longest time as I’ve been on the hunt for a proper Thai place in the area. I came out a bit disappointed by the experience. Drunken noodles is my go to dish and how I gauge a thai restaurant. While the flavor was present I was quite disappointed that they didn’t use broad flat rice noodles and instead opted for what looks like pad Thai style noodles. The other issue that I had was that the dish was very dry. Most, if not all drunken noodles I’ve had in the past are a bit more on the saucy side. What I received was nothing like the pictures on their website which I attached below. What saved this place from getting less stars is that I also ordered larb and crispy chive pancakes, both of which were quite delicious. Sadly I won’t be returning as the drunken noodles were such a disappointment.
