I apologize for the delay, I’ve been very busy. On January 22nd, I bought a Gyros sandwich at this location. A few hours later, I started vomiting and had stomach pain. I endured it for 12 hours with severe stomach pain and became completely dehydrated. I went to the emergency room and they gave me medication for the pain and vomiting, as well as an IV drip. I really do not recommend this place at all. But I’ll leave it up to you… 0 stars .

First off, the gyros are delicious! Secondly Jason was amazing as he provided exceptional customer service. Hopefully he gets some kind of recognition. Atmosphere was calm and relaxing however the cleanliness needed some work. The new burrito bowl wasn’t the greatest but will definitely give something else a try on the next visit. If you love gyros then you should check this place out.

I don’t often write reviews… But the chicken dinner was so good I had to. As a Greek I have high expectations and this was legit. It was pieces of juicy grilled chicken with a ton of flavor and the potatoes and rice were so delicious. The side salad was a nice pairing. Even the cost was very reasonable at around $15. Will definitely be back for that.

I’m from the south side of Chicago so when I’m up here towards lake in the hills Illinois at my girlfriend’s house I REALLY have to search for good food. Let me start by saying this is now my “GO TO” Spot! The portions are huge, the prices are fair, the food is DELICIOUS! The people at the restaurant are really nice and you can tell they care about their customers

I grew up eating The Works gyros in Glenview, IL, so that’s the litmus test for all other gyros.
In the 25 years I’ve lived in Mchenry County Chubby’s is one of the only place that I’ve found that’s comparable.
The gyros sandwich was packed with meat and was a decent size. The toppings were plentiful, and most importantly, the gyros meat was juicy and tender.
The fries were fresh and tasty, too!
Staff was helpful and friendly.
I’ll definitely be going back.

I’ve been coming here for years. We always enjoyed Chubby’s. They have the best cream of chicken and wild rice soup and since the new owner took over, they have it more often!
The food had always been good but food quality and service has slowly declined since the new owners took over. Less meat and much higher prices. Pork Souvlaki is decent. I wish they gave more fries, but overall decent food. Keep up the great work!!

My mother loves this place.Spent extra money to have it Delivered from Uber Eats. She gets her food and the fries were old stale. I called to let them know I was told. Did you wanna request a refund through app? I said, no, we don’t wanna do that. My mom loves your food but it would be nice to remake the fries next time she orders, they made her dig through the garbage to pull the fries out. Just so they can get a picture because they automatically assume all their customers lie very disgusting and horrible customer service
