Chubby Buddha Sports Bar is my new go-to spot in Ocean Isle Beach for game days and casual hangs! The vibe is lively with tons of TVs, great drinks like their pineapple margaritas, and awesome food options delivered from next door at Chunky Salsa.

Special shoutout to Mariah and Eyan for the fantastic service—they made our visit fun and welcoming, keeping the beers flowing and the energy high.

Can’t wait to come back for karaoke or trivia nights. 5 stars all the way!

Chubby Buddha is a great place to watch sports play pool and have some cheap drinks that are not over the top in Ocean Isle Beach. I had a great time and didn’t spend a fortune doing it.

Went into the Sports Bar and the Bartender had a MAJOR attitude because we ordered (2) Bahama Mamas, cab wine and a Craft Beer. The Bartender did not know how to make the mixed drinks and said “you shouldn’t order something you don’t know what is in it!” (Who is suppose to be the Bartender!- Google it) She also said “we serve mostly beer here” and I said “we are from Ohio” in which she replied “I can tell!” Our tab came to $44.00. Well, after her RUDE attitude, I wasn’t going to give her a huge tip because of her attitude. Who knows, maybe she was on her period. But after reading other “reviews”, she has treated out of town guests with the same hatefulness. To make a long story short, we ended up giving her another $5.00 for turning on NFL Sunday ticket. She got a $7.00 tip but she wasn’t worth .50 cents for the nastiness she gave to us. It was a horrible experience. Spend your money elsewhere. I feel sorry for her because she must be in a job she totally hates. Life is too short to be that miserable.

Love this dark, icy cold bar in the middle of the day. Felt like we’ve been here for years, on our first but not last visit.
We didn’t catch the bartender’s name but she was great. Drinks were frigid, atmosphere was warm. See you again!

Edit. Way better. Was approached by a very lovely manager. So this place is close to my house. So it’s convenient. But way better than before. Only thing. Still is the music. But I give credit for a turn around It’s a different place now.

We visit OIB each year for golf and it always falls on NCAA basketball tournament time. We love to watch games here. Meredith was so accommodating to us. Beer was cold. Great atmosphere!
