Best BBQ place I know of in New Jersey. The rural setting and rustic atmosphere add to the experience. The brisket dinner is the best entree I’ve tried here so far. The ribs are also great.

To start, the brisket was juicy and flavorful. The ribs were amazing, you could really taste the smoke on your tongue. The miniature cornbread was a nice surprising treat as well.
We also had the Mac and cheese which was also delicious and combined with the sweet stickiness of the beans and garlicky delicious string beans, this place hits it out of the park. Certainly worth the drive, and the food held very well for a half hour drive back home, so don’t be afraid to grab and go.
Also if you’re in a rush, service was pleasant, and quick too. Pricing was more than reasonable, and you does not sacrifice quality or flavor.

Let me tell you something, you will definitely want to go back! My boyfriend and I were driving around the area and he randomly said “Do you want some BBQ?”.

When we were leaving Ray asked us if that was our first time there, we said yes and He immediately offer us “a bone of ribs” for free. The ribs were amazing, soft, full of flavor and tender and juicy. We are planning to go back there soon.

The best barbecue this side of the Mississippi!! The pitmaster is a true professional. This place really knows how to make everything taste excellent. The smoking process really adds a nice touch to the whole taste. They are very friendly, they serve you quickly, the portions are very adequate and I tell you make sure you stop there you will not be sorry. Get the brisket as it is off the chain and the sides are completely amazing. Don’t forget the cornbread.

Meal: Rib Platter Plus – $23+tax
Comes with 2 sides, 2 muffins and a soda.
*Ribs: Pork ribs were fairly well cooked but could have been charred better in my opinion, skin was slightly softer than expected. BBQ sauce flavor was fairly mediocre.
*Side one – Mac & Cheese: good flavor, garlic was heavy, cheesy on the top but more watery on the bottom.
*Side two – Collard Greens: Simply Delicious.
*Corn muffins: very well made, great flavor and moist.
Overall-
The smokers smell incredible while you wait. The staff were very kind. The food was good but a bit of a drive to get to. If i was in the area I would stop in and try the brisket next. I’m glad i tried the ribs and this new location, the food is good.

My second time here. Beautiful stop on our motorcycle ride. Food was Great. I don’t know anywhere in NJ to get better bbq. The only thing that makes you want to come back more than the food are the people who run it. The cook came out to our table to chat and make sure we liked the food. The waiter was super friendly as well. It’s a road side stand with picnic tables and I haven’t been treated as well as this as a customer even by sit down dinner restaurants in my life. Great people great food great spot to relax. Go try it.

Went by this on my way home from day one of a soccer tournament. Book marked it in my head and found myself there a day later around lunchtime. It was 1:15 and they were just out of brisket so assuming they open at 12, get there early for that! We had the ribs (pictured), pulled pork, and Mac n cheese. The ribs were amazing. Good bite – not fall off the bone but tender and juicy… I always look for that round bite mark to show it’s just holding together enough. I must say that these are worth the drive if you love smoked food. You can get your ribs dry too but I’m a fan of Smokey meat paired with sweet sticky sauce. I didn’t sense any spicy heat to them if you’re curious. The pulled pork was smoky and tender. The bbq sauce is not too dominant which allows the smoke to be the star of the show. Finally the Mac n cheese is incredible – cheesy, a bit smoky and well seasoned. I have leftovers of both ribs and Mac n cheese which won’t last the night. Go there. Enjoy their food and let them know. They were all very friendly and getting to say thanks to the pit master on the way out was fun for a guy like me who loves the art of smoking meats.
