Lived in the area most of my life, but never ate at Chris Elbie’s until just a few days ago. Other members of the group ordered the Sunday buffet, but I decided to try the club sandwich. I asked if I could substitute anything for the fries, and was told I could select any vegetable. The fried okra was incredible! I requested it “well done,” and it was fried to perfection, not burnt, and not greasy. The lettuce and tomato on my sandwich was crisp and fresh. The meat was well-portioned, and tasted delicious, especially the crispy bacon. Everything from the buffet looked good, and according to the others, was good. Two of us ordered key lime pie for dessert. It was on par with pie from a dedicated bakery. I will definitely order it again. Our server was new, but did a great job with our group, including a small child, and three adults who have worked in the restaurant industry, two of whom waited tables for several years. The only “complaint,” if there even is one, would be the complete lack of music or background noise of any kind. Maybe that was just a one-time thing, and someone just forgot to turn it on. Either way, I *will* be back again, and look forward to trying something else on the menu.

I’ve had 2 great dining expriences so far. The food was awesome. Service was great also. After we said we wasn’t ready to order yet it did take her a little night I come back to the table, but we did say we needed a minute. But everything was nice. We was also the last people to eat that evening and they still treated us like we were one of the first people there.

The daily lunch specials are amazing! Their homemade soups and plate lunches have brought me back over and over. Everything is delicious! With rooms for private parties, lovely decor, reasonable prices, and a full bar (nights only), there is something for everyone.

Great place to eat. Very good family kinda place. The food was good. I had a club sandwich but most of my family ate from the buffet. It made me wish I had done the same. The staff was great also. They give a lot of attention to their customers.

Seems they cater to the bar. NOT to families. we waited over an hour for food tonight. And we waited for 20 minutes for more napkins. And waited for over 20 minutes for ranch dressing as well. Drinks never got refilled. Our waitress was very very slow and had an attitude. Then when we asked for no automatic tip they said they couldn’t do that. Then we asked for a manager she just stared at us dumfounded. Then they wanted to explain to us that they had 3 other parties, that was why the food was taking so long…..only 3!!!! Very bad experience! I repeat, do not take a big family they will give u very poor service and try to add an automatic tip.

The food was good, except for the Mac and Cheese, it was dry and bland, which they charged extra for. The service was slack and somewhat inattentive. They also charge for extra bread, which no one in the industry does. The baby back ribs are to be recommended as well as their steaks. I would give them four stars, if only they would change these three things!

Staff are awesome!! Very friendly&polite very attentive to the customer. Go above the call of duty to ensure that you are taken care if and enjoying your meal. The manager is one of the best I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. She is top notch!! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Thank you all who every time we come we are treated like family.

Food was terrible beef tips for more likes to be they were tough and gristle and small onions and mushrooms won’t even saw today they were just thrown on their raw. my friends ordered chicken salads they were brought a salad and chicken came out 30 minutes later after salad had been after eaten. The hamburger steak look like a hamburger patty. Service with mediocre and management looked uncapped.
