We stopped into Matthew’s L3 Pizzeria for the first time tonight and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. My two sons (11 and 14) and I had dinner together in between school and soccer practice, and everything was perfect, from the food to the atmosphere to the service.

We ordered the cream of crab soup, the meatballs appetizer (no cheese, per request), the chicken Parmesan over spaghetti, mozzarella sticks, and a special appetizer of cheesesteak eggrolls, and every single dish was delicious and perfectly prepared. The crab soup was rich and flavorful with just the right amount of seasoning, and those cheesesteak eggrolls were a standout favorite!

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming; the music was spot on (great songs, not too loud), and we felt comfortable and relaxed the whole time. The service was excellent; attentive without hovering, and we never felt neglected.

We didn’t try the pizza this time, but we’ll definitely be back for it soon. My kids loved it, and it’s clear this place is a hidden gem in Bel Air. Any family looking for a great dinner spot should absolutely come here!!!

Last night was my first time at Chris Doughs Pizzeria & Bar, in Bel Air/Forest Hill. There was plenty of parking. The first thing I always look for when going into a restaurant is cleanliness. It was very clean and well organized. There was a half wall separating the bar area from the restaurant. That is always nice when a family is going out to eat. The staff was attentive and very nice. Our waitress was Chelsea and she was very pleasant. One of the times that she stopped to check on us, I asked for a refill on my water, only to find out that she had it in her hand. She is an excellent server. I made a point to speak to several of the staff as well as the owner and they were all very friendly.
Now on to the food… I went there wanting to get pizza but I ended up with a cheesesteak sub and french fries. They arrived at the table piping hot and absolutely delicious. The servings were generous. My friend got a Caesar salad and she raved about how fresh it was. She had also ordered a pizza and said it was the best pizza she had ever eaten. She went on and on about how absolutely perfect the crust was. If I hadn’t devoured my entire cheesesteak sub, I would have tried the pizza. As I watched food being delivered to other tables, I was amazed at how many pizzas had been ordered. Needless to say, next time I will be getting a pizza. The other thing I found really interesting was, when taking your leftover pizza home, it was wrapped in thick paper. A very secure way of doing it. You have no box to contend with. Nothing to have to find room in your refrigerator or bend up for your trash. I really thought that was such a thought out way of not only being Earth friendly but also customer friendly. They also had a delicious dessert tray. My friend decided on the cannoli. Absolutely no disappointment there.
Now, the reason I went there was because I heard they were having live music for the first time. A gentleman named Bobby Bassett was playing there and he was amazing. He played some oldies as well as some newer music. He’s played a saxophone and it was apparent that he had done this for most of his life. Just a wonderful addition to the entertainment. People were on the dance floor and it was a great time.
Would I go here again? Absolutely!!!
Fast forward to last night, January 8, 2026
This was my second visit to Chris Doughs. I ordered the pizza and it was amazing. The crust was perfection. I can honestly say that I have never had crust on a pizza that was this fresh and delicious .The crust around the edge of the pizza was pure crispiness. I just heated it up in the air fryer for lunch and I will say it is still the best I’ve ever tasted. The cannoli I ordered was decadent. It was larger than I expected and was topped with powdered sugar and a drizzle of chocolate. My intentions were to eat half and take the rest home, but that didn’t happen. All I have to say is, make sure you make room for the cannolis.
There was great entertaining and dancing too.
This is a fun, family friendly place to eat in or carry out. The food is absolutely delicious, the restaurant is clean and the service is friendly.
If you haven’t been there yet, try it out. You’ll be happy you came.

I grew up Highlandtown (Baltimore) and was raised on this pizza! It’s a recipe and style of pie you won’t find just anywhere. And now, Chris Dough’s has brought the pie and a full menu of dishes to Harford County! Marie, our server, was friendly and totally appreciated our coming in. Everyone was in good spirits. And of course, Cannoli for dessert…to go.

Do not sleep on this pizza and the good food at Chris Dough’s. You’ll regret it.

Love this place!!! I have tried all the food, from appetizers, salads, pasta, subs, wings, pizza, desserts, cocktails (espresso martini) and it is all amazing and made with love. Ohhh, did I mention the meatballs…outstanding!!! Bring yourself, your family, and your friends…you won’t regret it. You are welcome!

Constructive and honest welcoming our newly opened establishment serving the community.
Food: Steak sub and Parmesan sub tasted good. Fresh rolls were noticed. Price for what you get considering chips and no fries came up short on the sandwiches.
Pizza crust was good, lightly crisp at edges and a fresh taste. Although it looks red with sauce it is actually very little sauce could use more along with the cheese.
Service: Being a new place and training staff we understand.
Atmosphere: Obviously clean as it’s new, nice and open tables not crowded. Hard floor and wall finishes make it loud and hard to hear at our own table. Dishes felt like fast food served off the counter, typical lower end set up but understand efficient for operations.
Overall: It was a fresh experience, family setting, with friendly staff all still working hard to serve guests and working on their processes/internal communications. Expected for a newly opened eatery.

Cheese pizza crust was just thick enough to provide a crusty bottom without being soggy along with a little buttery flavor. I don’t like really greasy pizza and this was not. Sauce had the right amount of sweetness. The coconut shrimp were delicious. Service was top-notch- they went beyond by making a different sauce for the shrimp. They even gave us fresh basil for the pizza! Will definitely return.

Getting ready to get take out for the second time here. The first time I was greeted at the door by the manager who was helping an older couple to their car. Food was hot, ready, huge servings, and everything was delicious. Nice to have something in Forest Hill that is so good!! Haven’t eaten inside yet, but looks like a nice atmosphere for casual dining.

There are multiple better pizzas within a few hundred feet, so everything else needs to be top notch, and it just isn’t. We ordered two apps and a pizza, which all came out at the same time, so we got cold appetizers and then our pizza was cold by the time we got around to it. The pizza itself is similar to the Tony’s brand pizza from the freezer aisle, crispy rim but thick undercooked center. Pizza is 90% dough/10% toppings. Tony’s might actually be better because you’d be able to cook it all the way. If paying for bread is your thing, this is your place. The boneless wings are literally chicken nuggets from Costco that they sorta wave a bottle of sauce in their general direction. It’s more like concepts of a sauce; if you close your eyes and believe real hard you can imagine how your favorite buffalo sauce would taste on your nuggets. French fries are on point. Absolutely delicious. They had a guy in there playing guitar and singing. The dude was seriously talented. No shade to him, but there’s nothing worse than having to scream at each other across the table on a Thursday because a pizza joint decided to cosplay as a music club. Again the musician was really good, but it’s just too loud for dinner. Server was terrible. There’s so many good pizza places in this town there’s just no reason to waste your time here.

Ate there for the 1st time today. I got the roast beef with gravy sandwich and mashed potatoes. Real mashed potatoes! Very good. The owner stopped by and was very welcoming. The restaurant is very clean. Servers were friendly and helpful. They have live music several days a week. I’ll be back next week to try out their pizza, which I heard was very good.
