Had such a great experience at Choor Bazaar! My husband and I came craving Indian street food and it really hit the spot. The pani puri was perfectly crunchy and flavorful, papdi chaat had the perfect sweet-spicy balance, and the vada pav and paneer frankie gave real Mumbai street food vibes. The pav bhaji was rich and comforting, and the gulab jamun was the perfect sweet ending.
Such a fun spot for authentic Indian street food in NYC — definitely coming back!

Made lunch reservations but walk-in would’ve been just fine too. They have booth seating and we were seated in a comfortable spot.
Krupa was our server, friendly and welcoming.
What we ordered: Pani Puri ($11), Paneer Frankie ($12), Pav Bhaji ($15), Vada Pav ($15), and Chole Kulcha ($16). Felt, the menu was well priced.
Vada Pav is spot on. The lasoon chutney can use a little more garlic, but the vada is perfection. Pani puri was good too, and jaljeera hits the spot! Frankie is not comparable to the iconic Tibbs and was a bit roti heavy, and neither does the Pav Bhaji hit Sardar’s standards (severley missing the Amul butter aftertaste) – but pretty good. The Kulcha felt a bit too starchy to our liking, but tasty overall. Spice level on the medium side and very kid friendly!
Noise levels were on the quieter end, and I wish the lighting was a bit brighther at least during the day service. Service was quick and food arrived within 20-mins of ordering.
Will visit again to try a few other dishes. A great place to grab a quick bite/snack.

This was probably some of the best vegetarian food I’ve had in New York City! The food was authentic Mumbai street food and tasted just like India! We got the Vada pav, pani puri, papdi chaat, paneer Frankie, pan bhaji, and falooda ice cream! The ingredients were all so fresh and the food was light and not too salty! Our favorite was definitely the pav bhaji and paneer Frankie! The ambience and service were also extremely welcoming! Definitely recommend!

I visited Chor bazaar because I happened to seea reel on Instagram and was close by. It was around lunchtime. It wasn’t super busy had decent amount of people seated. I ordered masala chai, pani puri and misal pav. The chai came with a toast which I thought was cute. Raj was my server and he was very polite and welcoming. He fulfilled all my requests and asked me my feedback towards the end. The taste was authentic, plating was tempting! Id visit the place again. One note for spicy misal lovers dont forget to custom spice the misal their regular misal has a regular spice. Punekars and Mumbaikars out there wouldn’t like their regular spice. Overall I did like the place, vibe and taste. Will visit again for more!

Chor Bazaar is a must-visit!
The sev puri here was absolutely the best we’ve had in years—truly exceptional and perfectly balanced. We also tried the Pav Bhaji and the Bombay Sandwich, both of which tasted incredibly authentic. . They definitely bring the heat, as they were quite spicy, but that just added to the genuine Bombay street food experience. The papdi chaat was good as well.
The decor is fantastic, creating a great atmosphere. Highly recommended for a real taste of Mumbai!

Absolutely delicious meal!! Chor baazar focuses on Mumbai style street food. It’s spicy, delicious, tangy – the perfect bites. The chaat was my favorite, pani puri and Papdi chaat are to dieee for. Vada pav is delicious and chole was divine. I’m excited to try more of this menu. Meenal was our server and she was so lovely! Service is great, very attentive. The menu is fully vegetarian, and loved the ambiance and decor. I will surely be back soon

Paneer Timka Samosa $11
⭐️ Pav Vada $14
Chole Kulcha $14

Edit: happy 4 months Chor Bazaar!!
We loooove your food.
I’ve come here a couple of times and each one was great! Absolutely delicious food, quick and kind service, and quiet atmosphere. We enjoyed trying many Indian street food dishes- pav bhaji, dahi puri, Vada pav, paneer Frankie. Each item was very enjoyable and filling as well. Not too expensive.

I recently visited Chor Bazaar and had to say I was highly impressed with the overall ambiance and service of the restaurant. Pinky, our waitress was extremely friendly and attended to all of our needs. The food was very delicious. I highly recommend the Misal Pav, Dhabeli, Frankie, and Sev Puri as they were my favorite! If you haven’t tried it, definitely give the basmati rice beer and jalapeno margarita a try as it was something new for me and I thought it was really good. To end the dinner I had the gulab jamun, which was amazing along with the malai kulfi. Definitely give it a try.
