My family & I have been coming to this amazing restaurant for over 30 years. I can recall so many wonderful memories. From my high school graduation to my parents rehearsal dinner 25 years ago. Karen & Eddie are truly a second family. Chopstick House is hands down best Chinese restaurant in Evansville. As far as great prices, amazing service & delicious food, definitely doesn’t get better!! 🙂

I’ve been going to this restaurant for close to 20 years now. The food has always been so good. The almond chicken, beef & broccoli, sesame chicken, sweet & sour chicken, wonton soup, crab rangoon, and so much more…. absolutely delicious. Not only is the food great, but the workers are always so friendly. The owner is always very nice and greets us when we come in. The atmosphere is relaxing. The lighting isn’t too bright, which makes it more comfortable. It’s a wonderful place to dine in.

The food is pretty good. The waiter, service on that end was top rate. But there isn’t anyone up front to greet people, find out the party number, and seat them. We waited at least 15 minutes, watching various parties leave, yet no one came to seat us, nor the people in front of us, yet there were several open and clean tables. If you’re going to make people wait, there should at least be ample seating… my family member is disabled and needed to sit, the 2 or 3 seats in the front were taken by others.
The price for food is great. The service, once you’re seated, was great. The taste was okay. I had wonton soup… the liquid was jelly, not soupy. That was weird. We both tried the Empress Chicken… it was fine, we will try something different next time we go. I really want to like this place, it’s woman owned and they’ve been around 32 years! That’s awesome.

This is an outstanding Chinese order from the menu restaurant. The food here is delicious. The service was above expectations and was very polite, fast, and accurate. This is a very tastefully decorated restaurant. Their egg rolls and crab rangoon were very good appetizers. This place is very clean. It is easy to find using Google Maps. There is plenty of free parking in their large lit.

The food was not great. The sesame chicken tastes like BBQ chicken. The noodles taste like they sat in old grease and the rice as well. My sone will eat just about anything and he couldn’t even eat his beef and broccoli.

Stopped in between a closing and errands. As a busy professional, this is an ideal lunch spot. Prompt service and meal arrived extremely quick. And was very hot and fresh. Very great service, and the meal was also top notch. This place has become a favorite. I had the sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, and egg roll. With water. Total was $10.30. Extremely reasonable considering I took half home for a treat later on.

Best Chinese ever with amazing wait staff. They have known my name, my family, and our favorite dishes for decades. You won’t be disappointed! Karen is the best!

Dear People of Evansville, what happened here? Who hurt you? I feel like we need to talk. Something has to be wrong. How in the round world is this your highest rated Chinese restaurant?? We trusted you, Evansville, and you lead down the dark path. This was hands down the worst Chinese restaurant I or anyone in my party has ever been to. We should have known when the sweet and sour sauce came out and was bright orange, but we are always up for new and different. So we gave it a shot. If the unfamiliar sauce wasn’t enough of a red flag, then the crab rangoons should have sent us running. The CRAB rangoons had no crab at all. They were filled with TUNA SALAD. Evansville, this is not ok. Please let me introduce you to real crab rangoons. They are delicious. It is a travesty that these monstrosities share their name. Our food arrived, it was disappointing at best. The General TSO’s chicken was just tso tso. The sesame chicken was in straight up BBQ sauce. This is not the way y’all. The cashew chicken was essentially cashew celery. I was served a platter of chopped celery with a miniscule amount of slimy chicken along with canned mushrooms and gravy that was reminiscent of canned cat food. The fried rice was simply rice with soy sauce, none of the usual extras. The cookies at the end of the meal were stale, tasteless, and hard as a rock. I will say that the restaurant was clean and the service prompt and friendly, but that was surely not enough to overcome the abismal food. I love Chinese food, Evansville. You deserve good Chinese food! If there’s a place better than this one, you need to get on Google and give it some good reviews because right now you are leading people astray.

Great place to grab some chinese takeout. Food was ready within 15 minutes and hot upon pickup. The sweet and sour chicken and egg rolls were delicious and portions were generous. The crab rangoons left something to be desired. Price was reasonable and the staff friendly.

This place is a wonderful Old School Classic Chinese Restaurant complete with the wonderful “Family Meal Combos”. I ate in & it was busy which is always a good sign for a restaurant that is a little hidden & out of the way. There was plenty of parking & I didn’t wait for a table. The owner sat me & I was served quickly. I ordered the LUNCH SPECIAL CURRY CHICKEN $6.75 which came with choice of Crabragoon (2) or Egg roll, Soup, Rice & Entree.. I choose the Crab Ragoons, Egg Drop Soup & Fried Rice to go with my Curry Chicken. They use REAL CRAB in their homemade Crab Ragoons & the DIPPING SAUCE for them is beyond the classic Sweet & Sour or Duck Sauce out of a can.. it’s obviously Homemade & I think possibly Pineapple Based. The perfect thickness & texture with just enough sweetness. It’s FABULOUS, BRIGHT & Worth the trip just for that. The Egg Drop Soup was just what this classic should be..(no peas or carrots) and hot & DELICIOUS. The fried rice was done classically and was good. The CURRY CHICKEN was just hot enough for my medium pallet without being too spicy. The portions were decent & big enough I took half of it home. Great value. I also had Hot Tea which was good. To top it all off when I asked my server if I could please have a glass of WATER to go not only did she happily bring it to me she took the time to add a slice of fresh lemon. DETAILS!.. IT’S ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS. I’d give this place an extra star just for that. AWSOME EXPERIENCE! Thank you.
