We had the most amazing dining experience last night at Chops. 8 of us were celebrating New Years Eve a day early, and it was our first time at Chops. The food was delicious…every one of us loved their meal. My husband said it was the best ahi tuna he had ever had and my grilled shrimp was off the charts good! The service was excellent (Christina), and the entire experience 5 stars. Don’t skip over this one!

One of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time! The server was super sweet and explained everything so well. We were pleased to find out that the restaurant is not using seed oils to fry their food, which is exactly what we love to see!

Food was amazing! Will definitely be back!

Pretty slow tonight but we weren’t in a hurry. Nice bar area and dining room. Enjoyed both the Fettuccine and Ribeye dinners. Warm bread on request.

When we first entered we spent 15 minutes or so to be acknowledged. We had to ask the bar if it was self seat for the rather disgruntled bar keep to get someone to seat us. We were not greated nor acknowledged. This was not a good start to my opinion.
Once seated our service was drastically improved m our server (Ayda?) was prompt and polite. She ensured our drinks were full and remained respectful.

We both got the Ribeye special with asparagus and lobster bisque. The Ribeye was ordered rare, and was cooked appropriately. Seasoned well. The meal came with golden potato wedges, asparagus, and a carrot. The vegetables were slightly over peppered but overall okay.

Apart from the lack of great and seat would definitely recommend.

My parents and I had a lovely dinner at Chops a few nights after New Year’s Eve. Our waitress was gracious and so efficient, dinner was delicious. We’ve been coming to Green Lake for over 20 years and so thrilled Chops continues to thrive. If you need delicious food and drinks in GL, eat here!!

Delicious! We heard about Chops from the home town channel and it does not disappoint. The calamari and salad were great and the signature lamb chops were cooked perfectly. The coffee gelato was the perfect finishing touch. The food presentation also high quality. Small town casual fine dining done right. We will be back and would highly recommend stopping by to give Chops a try.

Wonderful dinner! The food was great! There were 3 of us.
We all had the filet mignon, Mediterranean salad, mushroom and brie soup. Delicious!
Steaks were all cooked perfect, mine was a little undercooked.

Green Lake is special to me. I have a fondness for this area that extends well into my past, and if I am fortunate enough, well into my future. Like any small town or city in the Midwest, it has had its ups and downs as far as a thriving downtown business district. I’ve seen the rise and fall and eventual rise again of summertime activities bustling with loads of people all enjoying themselves. I am ecstatic that the area appears to be on another upswing. However, I cannot begin to express my heartache at the closing of the legendary Lil Corporal. I was stunned when I first found out it was closed and during every subsequent trip to Green Lake I still stop by and peer into the windows where I can see apparitions of memories past enjoying a hearty breakfast. But this isn’t a farewell to a friend, it is a happy hello to a new companion! I am decidedly certain that chops will continue to establish itself in much the same way as Lil Corporal (and a shout out to Adim’s Rib) where people will fondly revisit as the decades of their lives go by and they find themselves one day bringing their grandchildren to this wonderful steakhouse. Great cuts of meat, clever side dishes, and a variety of wines pepper this concise and flavorful menu at prices that will make you smile once the bill arrives.

We had our holiday party at Chops and it was fantastic night filled with great food and fun. Will, Sam, Alyse and Furqou met all of our needs. Noel the bartender was exceptional. Would recommend Chops to many.

What a fantastic place!!!! Amazing Appitizers to start with cocktails in a wonderful atmosphere at the lounge area, then a beautiful dining room with superb dining choices. I had the Salmon Oscar, my husband had Lamb Chops, and our friends had the Filet. All served with vegetables of the day , Truffle Mashed Potatoes, and Ceasars Salad. All beyond excellence with fantastic service from both wait and bar staff.
