Oh, and one last note! If you are on the spectrum, Prefer more space and quiet or are overwhelmed easily. You can actually request when making your reservation to be seated in the Mandarin room, which is an open room with a few tables in it, separate from the rest of the restaurant. It’s very nice and would be perfect for situations like that.
Food: phenomenal ordered specialty steak with delicious onion flavor and NY strip steak – the real meat flavor cooked to perfection It’s the best ever! Must have! Brussels sprouts are a must!
Drinks: martinis are delicious So gooooood see photo captions
Atmosphere: classy, elegant, cozy, friendly ✨️ ❤️ Perfect for special occasions or dates
Dress up and enjoy yourself, you’ll be very happy! Highly recommend! Great experience ☺️
I ordered the 13 trio, filet mignon, shrimp and scallops. It was so good. Seasoned just right. I ordered my filet medium and it was perfect. Tender and juicy. I cannot wait to go back. Im already planning a date night with the hubby here, so he can experience.
My part of five got the crushed pineapple martini, plain espresso martini, smoked old fashioned, vodka martini and cosmo. All the drinks were great- there are several cocktail options and many are sweet, but they do have good variety, including 3 types of espresso martinis. Beautiful glassware, which I love.
For apps we got focaccia (nothing special really), oysters Rockefeller (so amazing!) For sides we had a loaded baked potato (SO huge), lobster Mac, Brussels, and asparagus. Everyone seemed to enjoy, I didn’t eat too much since my meal came with risotto.
I ordered the special for the night- filet, crispy shrimp, and southern sweet corn risotto. The whole table loved the shrimp and risotto! I really enjoyed it- never had risotto like this, but am not sure it paired well with the filet, but I still ate it all together 🙂
4 of us ordered steaks and they were all cooked exceptionally well. We eat at steak houses often so we were very impressed! My boyfriend got the lamb and added a lobster tail, both had amazing presentations and he was happy too.
I’ve seen some reviews saying this place is pricey, however the portions reflect this. The level of service, presentation, and how good the food is make it entirely worth it.
We were seated near an anniversary and a birthday party, so it was nice to see everyone having a great time. Trent was very attentive and gave us so much info about the menu, answered questions, and laughed at dad jokes. Melanie, the manager checked on us to ensure we were having a great time! The hosts and back servers were also great, utensils always there and water always full. They boxed our food at the table for us and the leftovers have been reheating well for a couple of days 😛
Thank you Melanie and Trent for a great night!
I had the Wagyu, my partner had the lamb chops. Both were fantastic. Although I thought the lamb chops were a bit salty, my partner enjoyed them thoroughly. My steak was the best I’ve ever had, perfectly rare. The side of wild mushrooms were deliciously umami, very herby and perfectly sautéed. We also had the potatoes au gratin, we both loved how creamy it was but I thought the potatoes were a bit firmer than I expected. The cream brûlée was good, but I expected more than two berries and a garnish when it said it was served with berries.
My crushed pineapple martini was so good, but very sweet. Which is exactly what I asked about and our server said it was their sweetest drink. Our server, Veronica, was very nice, she was the perfect amount of attentive. She checked on us, but not excessively and was friendly. She got the bill and took care of it faster than any restaurant I’ve ever been to. The food was promptly boxed for us when we were ready to go. The guy who boxed it joked with us and was also very friendly.
I did have two complaints though, one being the music. It was like whoever made the playlist was a 40 year old trying to appeal to 20 year olds. Overplayed and occasionally overmixed pop music. It’s a steakhouse so I was expecting anywhere from some jazz, maybe classical, I mean piano covers even. It definitely threw the vibe off and gave the restaurant a less classy feel. It was the topic of conversation more than a couple times and honestly would make me think twice about coming back. This may seem nit picky but it’s hard to have a romantic dinner staring into the love of your life’s eyes while Watermelon Sugar is blasting in the background.
The other is just personal preference, and I understand if no one cares about this one. I don’t understand why people showed up in ball caps and sandals. I know they don’t impose a dress code but c’mon, ya know? I don’t expect suits and ties everywhere but a dress shirt and some slacks at least. It’s just a bit off putting I suppose. Although I guess that’s a bit on the patrons.
All in all, I would give this place an 8 which is disheartening given the price. Food and service were fantastic but the ambience needs some work.
Went Monday before Christmas and glad we had a reservation as it was busy. Mondays are $10 Martinis so we headed to the bar. Friendly, informative Bar Tenders and made our selection and went to our table.
Nice Steakhouse feel and modern while still being warm and cozy. Lillian brought us water and went over the Specials and helped us finalize our decisions.
Son had the 10oz Filet and Lillian suggested the Blue Cheese crust, nice choice. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits, both were delicious. Sides are all Carte and we ordered two, Au gratin potatoes and the Spinach. Should have only ordered one as the sides feed 3, easily. Spinach was not our Favorite, should had read description better, Lillian recognized we didn’t taste much and removed from bill.
All in all a nice experience and a good meal.
