My wife and I came here for the first time to celebrate our anniversary and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. I informed the staff of our special occasion and requested flowers for the table and a special bottle of Non-alcoholic champagne to be served for dinner. The ownership and staff greeted us with “happy anniversary!” right as we entered and the table had a nice flower arrangement waiting on the table and our champagne on ice when we arrived. The wait staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive the whole time. We were greeted by the owner as well, who is truly a delightful man, who congratulated us on our anniversary, thanked us for being there, and made us feel very welcome. The food was EXCELLENT. The shrimp cocktail and lobster corndog were great starters, and the chicken picatta was amazing along with the sides that we got (creamed spinach and brussel sprouts were both great). We finished our meal and left saying how excited we were to come back again soon. I give this place a 10/10 for making our night truly special and we will absolutely be back again many times. Thank you to the staff and ownership. Keep up the great work!

Fantastic dinner. Glad Rome has a good steakhouse located downtown. The lobster corn dog was delicious as was the Brussels and whipped potatoes. Highly recommend for dinner. Service and atmosphere was fantastic. The owner even came out to speak with all the guest. Great hospitality!

Seafood bisque was delicious. Some of the best I have eaten. We had steaks were well cooked and shareable potatoes were smooth and creamy. Crème brûlée for dessert: delicious but it was more of a pudding texture. The one weakness is the bar.indigo martini and Irish coffee. The martini is ok, and Irish coffee was terrible.

We had the BEST experience on Saturday night! We had a large party and the service and food was absolutely awesome from start to finish! Ms. Robinson was incredible and a true pleasure!! We were celebrating several special occasions and each one was recognized and celebrated! In addition to our incredible server, the owner came out and introduced himself as well. It was an all around great experience! We will definitely be back!!

Outstanding meal. We had the filet mignon, Brussel sprouts, crème potatoes. The service was exceptional. The owner came to each table and asked customers if they were taken care of and how was their meal. He thanked us for coming in and it was genuine. We will go back.

What an amazing experience in Rome Ga. Here for a business meeting and never expected to have the best steak of my life in such a small southern town. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, perfect for a date night or a business meal. The service was awesome. We had a 15 person party and had 3 waiters assigned to us. Drinks were immediately served and the waitstaff remained attentive and speedy the whole meal.
It was also nice they had high quality wines by the glass. Something I don’t often see. The owner stopped by and chatted to us for a bit – you can tell how passionate he is about the place. Also the prices were very affordable for such high quality food.

Was visiting in Rome for the Christmas Holidays. My son and I came to the Chop House for some steaks..The steaks were fantastic. We both started with the jumbo shrimp cocktails, they were fantastic. The shrimp were the size of mini lobsters..Both steaks were cooked perfectly, the creamed spinach as a side was excellent. We tried this restaurant last night. I ordered a medium New York strip. It was slightly overdone, but it was tough and dry. The flavor was good. I did not want to, but the others at the table asked that they bring me a ribeye. I said alright and asked for medium rare plus. It came out inconsistent. From rare to medium. But it was still very tough. I’m not a cook so I don’t pretend to know why. But the bottom line is – the steaks just weren’t that good and I did not eat them. (For the record, the others enjoyed their meals. The restaurant did offer to comp my steak but we did pay for them).
