CHOP is OPEN again! Can’t wait to return on a warm summers afternoon with friends and enjoy the wonderful wine list, tasty apps, and wonderful dinners again! Fresh, innovative meals overseen by delightful chef Eddie….who has great experience and a true love for tasty cuisine! What could be better than a spot on the “sunset side of the lake”, wearing flip~flops and shorts….with professional service, and smiles all around! Gary and Eddie got it goin’ on!

Atmosphere awesome, food awesome. Fair prices. Service was good, but super slow. They were having a hard time with their credit card machine and had us wait before being seated, because of that we missed happy hour prices and they didn’t extend us the offer. Then it took another 30 minutes to order and 60 minutes to get food. But it was yummy! We will try it again hopefully it will be a 5 star next time. 🙂

The view and service are wonderful. Very attentive waitress. I had the Chop Burger and it was juicy and well seasoned. Family friendly with a kids menu, drink cups and coloring. Will be back for a summer dinner.

We were so pleased with the food and service. We had went to a place in Beyond Hope, where we have gone for 30 years and they told us that we were required to have a reservation??? Come on its at the lake! So we thought well lets try this place Chop, it was amazing!! I recommend this place to anyone wanting great service, good food and reasonable prices.

I didn’t even want to give them a .1 star . There were 7 of us dining. Our service was horrible. The waitress never checked on our table and we waited over an hour for our dinner. People who were seated after us were served before us. 4 people in our party had hot food, 2 of us were served cold hamburgers and 1 a cold steak. There was no concern at all from the waitress or managmenma regarding the wait, service or quality of our food. We will never be back.

We just spent the last 3 days at a lovely vacation home in clark fork.
last night was our last night in this area and after looking online I decided Chop sounded like a great place for dinner.
I am SO happy that we dined here.
We had the calamari as an appetizer, which was the best calamari I have had. Big pieces and breaded to perfection.
Then came the clam chowder. amazing and actually had clams in it.
My husband ordered the Chop burger and I ordered the seafood penne.
Very Delicious !
I personally would have preferred different scallops or just more salmon instead.
Very filling and tastey. I tasted the husband burger and it was easily the best I’ve had. The pepper jelly is unique but perfect on the burger.
Service was fabulous and the outdoor seating is perfect to watch the sunset.
We will come here again during our next visit !
Money well spent.

3.5 stars…. The food was good, parking the boat was fairly simple and accessible – though the dock was a bit tattered and could use some love. The kids (boys) were extactic about there being a urinal that looked more like a fountain and all of them went pee in it. Food was delicious and service was acceptable to good. We had 10 people and it took the staff about 25 min’s to figure out how to seat us even though there were tons of open seats – which really sucked because by the time we were sat it was 11 min’s past happy hour and our server wouldn’t honor happy hour pricing. Had the host staff told us that we could have ordered a dri K at the bar, and gotten appatizers ordered. The worst thing was that we then waited an hr and 20 min’s for our food. Thankfully the view was lovely and we wernt fully hungry when we were sat so no one got totally hangry. Over all it was a decent experiance and I’m sure we will be back one day soon.

Dining outside on Lake Pend Oreille is an amazing experience. The staff is fun and accommodating. The food is good and a bit pricey. The artichoke spinach dip was fabulous. Will dine there again.

CHOP is my favorite restaurant in the Sandpoint/Hope area to go to in the summer! It’s on the water, has a beautiful view, has indoor and outdoor seating, and has a great vibe. I also love the food! It’s unarguably the best food in Sandpoint. It’s creative and satisfying. I LOVE the burger and the shrimp dish.
