It was our first time dining at Chop Steakhouse.
We took advantage of their Taste of Oakville menu on now until March 19 2026. The price fixed menu ($60) offered plenty of options and we were impressed that the portions were full plates and considered them a big bang for our buck. In short… RUN – don’t walk to Chop Steakhouse during is promotion!
Everything we chose was cooked to perfection and came out plated nicely and in a timely manner. Our server Shane was a professional and gave us just the right amount of attention. The atmosphere was cosy yet spacious. The dinner music in the dining room was at a level where we could hold a conversation and not struggle to hear each other.
We completely enjoyed our first visit and are pretty sure will again soon!

12/10 service. Great steak. Most fantastic staff!! Great value for money.
Went for my brother’s birthday – since it was our first time, they have us a free tuna appetizer! They also gave us a cake for him and a card signed by all the staff with a coupon for complementary steak bites next time we are at CHOP!
100% Canadian beef, impressive selection! I would say my medium was closer to a medium-well, but I enjoyed. I had the smoked ribeye and you could really taste the hickory.
The bread donates a meal. And the whipped butter is yummy!
The fries were an alright side, next time I might go for the mash!
High tables / bar seating. Huge restaurant so probs don’t need a rez

I visited CHOP Steakhouse & Bar and had an overall average experience. The food was okay but didn’t stand out — it wasn’t very flavorful and didn’t quite meet my expectations for a steakhouse. The atmosphere was decent and comfortable, and parking is plentiful, which is definitely a plus. Not a bad place, but nothing memorable enough for me to rush back.

We had such a great experience at Chop Steakhouse! Marcie, the hostess, was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. She really set the tone for a wonderful evening with her warm energy and professionalism.
The bartender was also very kind and attentive — our drinks were fantastic and made perfectly. We stopped in for drinks and appetizers, and everything was delicious and beautifully presented.
Jesse, the manager, came over personally to make sure everything was perfect, which we truly appreciated. He was welcoming, professional, and clearly takes pride in creating a great guest experience. He carries himself very well and adds a charming presence to the atmosphere.
Overall, it was such an enjoyable visit. Great service, great drinks, great apps, great staff — we’ll definitely be back! ✨

When the staff found out it was my first visit, the manager personally came out to introduce themselves, which honestly meant so much. I’ve never experienced that kind of genuine hospitality for a first-time guest at a restaurant before.
The team went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of throughout the entire visit. You can really feel how thoughtful and accommodating the staff is and how much they truly prioritize your experience.

I had a fantastic dinner here and was so impressed by the service and food! My server, Catelyn was absolutely wonderful—she was so attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. When they found out it was my first time at this restaurant, they even brought me a complimentary appetizer, which was such a nice touch.
I ordered the filet mignon steak with cauliflower rice and vegetables. They were able to accomodate my dietary needs. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare and was so tender and juicy. The vegetables were still crisp and well-seasoned, which I really appreciated. The cauliflower rice was also a great, flavourful side.
Overall, it was a truly amazing dining experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu.
