We went out today when we heard they had a candied bacon Gouda burger on special. We’ve been looking for a good Gouda burger ever since we left PA in 2019. Finally found it! The burger was huge, cooked perfectly & the cheese, candied bacon & onion rings were the best combination! Definitely enjoyed my side of crinkle fries too. The owner was super friendly & helpful & not afraid to try new things on the menu while staying true to the bbq roots. We hope this burger makes it on the regular menu. We will definitely be back! Can’t wait to try some of the desserts too!

Choo Choo BBQ in Bluffton isn’t just good; it’s simply amazing. I’ve eaten all over the country, and their “Train Wreck” sandwich is, without exaggeration, the best sandwich I have ever had. Everything else was just as impressive: the ribs were fall-off-the-bone incredible, the Brunswick stew was perfectly on point, and the bacon cheese fries were absolutely sublime. This spot is a 10/10 must-visit.

Stopped on a whim driving back from Savannah. Easy access. They have a pretty good lunch special. Get there before 3. Wife and I got the “train wreck.” Good and hot sandwich. Sides were good as well, especially the baked beans. Mac and cheese was kind of bland. Service was quick. Even refilled my sweet tea! Daughter had the chicken sandwich. Big and good. Overall a very good stop. Will come back when we are in the area.

This place smells amazing as soon as you step out of the car. My family really enjoyed the food. The lunch special, $12 for sandwich, 2 sides, and a drink, was perfect. My boys really enjoyed the “train wreck” (pulled pork/chicken and sliced brisket). My brisket sandwich was great. The buns were very soft, but didn’t fall apart. I like they have 4 different bbq sauces on the table. I put the SC mustard sauce on my brisket sandwich, NC vinegar sauce in my cole slaw, and TX hot/smoky sauce in my Mac and cheese, and it was fantastic. I love that they sell bottles of their sauces; $7 is very reasonable. I bought 2 bottles of the mustard sauce to bring home to Florida. Finally, the service was very good. The guy who took our orders answered all my questions patiently and gladly gave us all the refills we needed. He also advised us to check out the historic district where we found a couple of great gifts. Thank you, Choo Choo BBQ!

We decided to get dinner on our way in to HHI this year and will definitely be back! The pulled pork was absolutely delicious, catfish fantastic, cornbread, beans, Cole slaw and mac and cheese made for some of the best BBQ we’ve had in the state! The dessert was also great. The food was delicious. I asked him to cook my chicken tenders a little longer and they did follow my request. They had five different kinds of barbecue sauce love them all. He puts his specials on Facebook and you can order and pick up. Within the next week, he’s going to have his Thanksgiving menu up. You order a full Thanksgiving dinner and all you have to do is pop it in your oven for a couple hours on Thanksgiving day. I can’t wait to try it because his sweet potato casserole today delicious.

My sister and I are over from the UK visiting family and wanted some good BBQ. We’re so pleased our family brought us here, it was incredible! The food is authentic and delicious, the prices are super reasonable, and the service is fantastic. We’re definitely going to come back when we next visit. If you’re visiting from out of town I’d definitely recommend coming here!
