I got takeout and the lady at the front was very sweet. The Kimchi Chi Gae was sooo flavorful and now one of my new favorite soups. The Jae Yook Bokum was sweet and spicy but it’s with bacon not pork like I think most recipes tend to be.

Food is DELICIOUS. Owner works for herself, by herself so parties with more than 3 people really would be a wait for the food. We ordered dumplings, beef bulgogi and chicken bulgogi. Definitely will be back.

Was my first time eating here. A pretty decent menu that includes most the items you would expect from any Korean Restaurant. The woman who runs the restaurant was taking orders, cooking, and serving the food the day we were there.

We ordered 2 plates of the bulgogi and a kimpop roll. Side dishes were a bit minimal, but everything had excellent flavor. Portions of the main entrees were good sized.

Service was great, prices were fair. I would definitely return here. If your in the area I would check out the lunch plates, they looked like a really good deal.

Nice little quaint restaurant. Feels like home. Chong is very friendly and an excellent chef. The food was spot on. Situated on the west side of town at 410 and Marbach, It’s the only Korean restaurant over here. Hopefully it gains popularity.

4/5 stars: no alcohol, sad face. no soju or makgeolli.

I ordered the Chop Chae to-go. Online it says anywhere from $12-$15 but when I picked it up it was $21!! I thought, okay, price change but maybe it’s really good and/or there’s a lot but I opened the take out box it was only half full with barely any meat. It was also extremely sweet for some reason. Additionally, I didn’t get any kimchi even though it was in the description. Very disappointing and overpriced for essentially just clear noodles with the occasional slice of onion or carrot and a crumb of ground beef.

STAY AWAY if you’re looking for quality food and service. I ordered via Ubereats and was disappointed with the service. I ordered the kim bap and kimchi samgyupsal (kimchi pork belly) but the quality and quantity were severely lacking. The kimbap was mostly rice and the sides were very small. The kimchi pork belly was mostly liquid. Very disappointing.

Got kimbap and the taste was ok but the size of the roll and filling were small. I expected more filling. It was also wrapped in tinfoil which I’ve never seen before. The place inside was dreary, hot, dark and very dated. Not anywhere I’d like to dine in. I ordered to go. I was charged $14 for a small side of cucumber kimchi. Kimchi was not good at all. The lady seemed irritated I was there even tho I walked in and it was empty. The people who say this place is good have probably never been to really good Korean BBQ restaurants with quality food and service. This is like an old hood restaurant and they are loyal. Y’all can have this janky overpriced place. Never going here again.

Went for the first time and was happy with the delicious yaki mandu, Korean BBQ pork, and bulgogi. Excellent service by Mrs. Chong. I’m so happy this is close to my house! Definitely going to become regular customer.

We’ve tried a handful of Korean restaurants in SATX, but this is by far the best one here. It is the closest to the taste of Korean cuisine we get in Hawaii. We’ve tried their bibimbap, bulgogi, kimchi fried rice and our favorite, kalbi. Their banchan, or side dishes, are always delicious. Just wished we could get more. I’m not a huge fan of kimchi, but I actually love their kimchi.

It’s in an odd place/location, but this hole-in-the-wall find will definitely satisfy your Korean BNQ cravings. Also, keep in mind it’s not fast food and sometimes (usually) it’s just Mama Chong cooking in the kitchen – but the wait is worth the food.

Similar to a previous review, do not order delivery from this restaurant. This would probably be a great place to actually eat in based on the other review photos, but delivery is severely disappointing for the cost. The portions were so little. The Kim Bob had barely any ingredients in it, no sauces to dip it with. No utensils. Ordered the short rib lunch portion, received one tiny short rib with mostly rice and a small portion of kimchi. Expected more ban chan sides. Have ordered delivery from other Korean restaurants and have never received portions like this before. Or severe lacking of presentation.
