Per the recommendation of our AC college daughter, we had to try Chomp Burger. What a fabulous place to get a burger and fries. There are many speciality burgers on the menu or a build your own. Lots of options for types of burgers (beef, turkey, chicken, vegan). Love the options for buns, from classic bread to lettuce wraps. The atmosphere is pleasant, the service was exceptional and fast. The prices were reasonable as well. There is plenty of parking and located close to downtown, so you can take a little walk after to see the shops of downtown Adrian. We will definitely be back!

Went there for the 1st time always pass on the way back from Meijer headed home to brooklyn. Seen the 2 for 25 burger sign. stopped in.. not a long wait, we ate at the bar. So glad we tried .. was scrumptious. The best burger we have in a long time.. and the onion rings WOW so full of flavor and huge.. great atmosphere as well. Chelsea was our server and also the bar tend.. for sure will return.. highly recommend!! Also the inside decor is awsome

The service was great. Our waitress was on top of everything. The food even looked great when it came out. For me, in my opinion, the burger was extremely sloppy to eat. The bun fell apart from all of the runny bacon jam that was on it. The patty itself lacked seasoning. On its own, the burger patty was bland. I also ordered a side of spicy blueberry sauce, which lacked in the spice department. The atmosphere of this establishment is really cool. I enjoyed visiting the place, but for the higher prices that they charge for their food, the food did not live up to the price point

Wonderful service!!! I just called and asked if they could bring a dessert to my son’s table! The nicest young lady who goes to his same school said absolutely and on the house! I cried and was so grateful! She is going to deliver the most wonderful surprise to him! We too know the food here is amazing and so many varying options for burgers! Burger i had was amazing. Fries are good, mac n cheese aas lack luster i didn’t get much flavor from them. Im a big steampunk fan so the decor at atmosphere is a 100/10. Service was incredible. Will be back.

Had to change my review I had u at 5 stars but hadn’t been here in a while. Got to say it’s really slacking. Service was crap. Asked multiple times if we needed anything when the food was brought. But didn’t see the waitress after that till she was bringing the check. The food well my favorite blueberry motz fries became in edible. There was chunks of jell from being so cold and hardly any cheese. I paid 56 dollars for 2 burgers and 2 fries. The burgers used to be fresh made now u can tell they are pre-made meat patties. I miss the way it used to be ran. Maybe was a bad day there. I’ll probably try them again some time and see if it was a fluke. If so I’ll let you know.

Update: (DO NOT visit this place if you’d like to get blamed for your personal experience and/or review.)

The GM posted a response. Instead of being professional and appropriate, he blamed me for my experience without having even met me or discussed any of my issues at the restaurant. I’m not sure why he left his name and contact information. I can only assume it would be to reach out? Most professionals, but he did NOT, would include, “I’m so sorry, please reach out.”

Let me address his reply:

First, I never met him (the GM) nor had any contact with him (the GM).

Second, I never claimed to be vegan, but I did have someone in our party who is. You did not address my actual concern in your reply, which was a Gluten sensitivity. But you would know that if you did not just go off of, what I can only assume was/were, heated conversations from your servers. (We all know THOSE conversations about customers.)

Third, the bar manager who took over our service was really wonderful and professional. Maybe she should actually be the GM since she can hold her composure and not submit tantrum replies. She did mention the restaurant is being revamped. Hopefully you, as the GM, can get some customer service training.

Last, yes, other restaurants would be better suited simply from your response to MY review, (see below). I emphasize MY because this was my experience based on the customer service, taste and quality of the food, and atmosphere. Future customers should know what to expect. (Hopefully you’ll clean the fish tank.) After all, most people do a Google search to find good restaurants. Hopefully they will see mine.

My experience was not the greatest.

I’m not sure if it’s common up north, but many restaurants seem to only have Coke or Diet Coke but no Coke Zero. While I understand that the fountain options can be limited due to the machine size, I wonder why the option for Coke Zero is far and few between.

The waitress was not knowledgeable on the items as it relates to gluten free and vegan allergies. Good management should train all of their servers, but servers should also want to be knowledgeable.

When asked about vegan bread options (a lot of bread contains milk or eggs), the server had no knowledge on this.

I asked her if there was someone more knowledgeable about the menu items and she clinched her teeth and walked off. Keep in mind, she already stated that she had never been asked if the bread was vegan, AND she stated she wasn’t familiar with the vegan and GF items.

Several minutes later, another server came. She handed me the allergy card. (She then became our server for the rest of our time at the restaurant.)

Hey Chomp owner(s), ever thought about putting a QR code that takes you to the allergy card? It would be easy to add this as a text box to the upper right hand corner on the first page of your menu?

Now, let’s talk about the fish tank in the middle of the restaurant. A dirty fish tank is very off putting. It appeared that the tank was greenish brown. I’m not sure if that was intentional or not, but it’s very gross. If you’ve ever owned and cleaned a fish tank, you know this smell and process.

I ordered a BLT half salad. For the quantity and flavor, I was not impressed with the price. The chicken was very bland, but it looked really good. I’m sure it would be perfect for the dressing, which adds to the flavor. The bacon was crispy, which is important.

Overall, I was not impressed and will most likely not be back.
