recently visited this place in Denver downtown for a office dinner and I would like to call out for our waiter to accommodate us even without a reservation. There was a reservation made by someone but our waiter was honest that if can wind up by 8 PM we can dine in there and I really like that . The ambiance is really great and food is great but not exception except one, tried below items along with review.
Crab fried rice – really good quantity and was good.
Prawns Satay – really good appetizer bit buttery but tastes good.
DONT MISS the spicy donuts with Vietnamese coffee – absolute must try, loved the warm donuts with such an exceptional coffee ice cream. Just loved it..

We visited ChoLon downtown recently on vacation. We were there for an early lunch on Saturday and they were not busy at that time. We wanted sake, but could not decide on which one from the menu. The bartender came over, talked with us about what we like in sake and brought out a little tasting set for us to try. It was OUTSTANDING customer service. We settled on one that was unbelievably creamy and silky (eternal embers). For food we had the famous French onion soup dumplings and the pork belly bao buns. They were both very tasty. But the real standout for me was the yummy comp app, a thin bean crisp with a yummy tomato “dip”. I could have eaten several of them. The server (and of course, the bartender) were kind, thoughtful. The setting was lovely. I see why people locally like the restaurant. Would return and highly recommend.

Incredible food!! Drinks were delicious as well. Loved the bartender, Justin! Attentive and came with great recommendations. Also, the tamarind mule was refreshing and paired well with the food. The calamari is the best I’ve had, as well as the beef skewers. The peach leches dessert was refreshing and light, a great way to end the meal after sampling several small plates. Service was outstanding!

Service was the highlight of this place! The food was great as well, but just a little too greasy for us.
If you’re debating on a few things, the fried rice is the way to go! That butter that comes with it is insane!!! So yummy!!!!
Soup dumplings is what they’re also known for, but I find that the dough and flavor is too far from the original. Not my favorite but I can see those flavors being a hit if you’ve never had soup dumplings.
And for dessert the matcha strawberry shortcake! That combo is just perfection and you won’t regret it!

Had an absolutely wonderful happy hour experience here. My fiancé and I enjoyed the flights and bites. We chose well and enjoyed everything so much. Anthony took excellent care of us. We will definitely be coming back and we were happy for him to notify us of the new ish location near Sloan‘s Lake. I highly recommend the Szechuan chicken wontons and don’t skip the candied Ginger mustard it’s good on basically everything!

The lychee martini is super strong! But so are my feelings for this place! I absolutely love this place so much and their happy hour is one of my favorites I’ve ever been to ever. I’m obsessed with their soup dumplings, especially the French onion. It is probably one of the top five best things I’ve ever eaten in my life.

It’s been over 10 years since my last visit to ChoLon. My husband and I went for happy hour and we had 4 cocktails and 7 small dishes for $96, which was not too bad! The food overall is delicious. The French onion soup dumplings are very good. My only issue was with the fries that look and taste like they came frozen from a bag. Not sure but I wouldn’t order them again. My Espresso Martini (their version) was amazing! We will definitely be back for happy hour because their prices are way more reasonable during that time.

I have had my share of soup dumplings. I tried the General Cho’s chili dumplings. The dough was decent. The filling was nothing reminiscent of soup it was more thick and quite unlike any other dumpling I have tried from Denver to Asia. The chicken wontons were amazing though.

Loved this restaurant! We were here to walk around the 16th street mall after taking the train to Union Station. Easy walk to location on the corner of 16th and Blake.
It was lunch time and we didn’t have a reservation. They sat the two of us immediately. I had a draft beer and my wife had the sake flights (3, 2oz shots). We enjoyed both.
The food was great. Spicy Korean chicken sliders, pork belly buns and scallion pancakes. Perfect amount for two to share.
The other food being served around us looked very good too.
Service was great. Thanks for a nice meal!
