Authentic Thai Cuisine in Malibu Area, worth to try it. Using fresh and high quality ingredients. Very attentive service.

We’ve never tried Tomkha with beef and it was a nice change and complimented the crab fried rice very well. The portions are very generous so we definitely recommend sharing our family style. The messy green curry was also delicious and unexpected it had noodles and green beans and more. It definitely felt messy but very delicious. We loved that this was an option along the beach.

Very expensive, however the portion size is huge. We ordered yellow curry, fried rice, orange chicken and Thai iced tea. Yellow curry and fried rice were okay, but the orange chicken was not at all crispy. Not worth the price! If they could come up with smaller portion size options, it would be much better.

Have been to Cholada many times. Food is good and service is usually great. However, we had a very bizarre experience tonight. We were the only party (5 adults) out in the back patio and had great service and a very pleasant night until my elderly relative accidentally knocked over and broke his empty wine glass as we were about to leave. Another elderly relative tried to be helpful and throw the glass in a large trash bin, not realizing it was a recycle bin. One of the waitresses (that had not been our waitress) heard the noise and came out right when I was saying that type of glass probably needs to go in the trash, not recycle. The waitress said nothing but then threw a complete fit. She grabbed a nearby small bucket, slammed it on the ground, then picked up the large recycle bin and dumped the entire thing upside-down into the bucket that was no where near large enough to catch all the beer bottles inside. Bottles and glass went all over the floor making a huge ruckus. She then started picking up the bottles all over the floor, loudly throwing them back into the bin. She grabbed a broom and started frantically sweeping and throwing glass into the bucket making as much noise as possible. We tried to say sorry, but she would not speak or even look at us, at which point we figured the best thing to do was get out! Good Thai food, but don’t break a glass and definitely don’t make a recycling mistake!!

I don’t think they like black people being in their restaurant . The comment that spoke about bringing their African American friend and experiencing being asked to pay ahead of time is the same exact experience I had with my husband (he’s white and I’m black) . This happened on Oct. 21,22, but I wanted to update my review after seeing that someone else experienced the same that I did. They barely wanted to take our order but kept asking the white people in the restaurant a million times if they like their food or want anything else … it was weird. The waiter wouldn’t look us in the eye or barely respond and got mad when we asked for a to go box .They sat us in the back even though the front wasn’t full . It’s was disgusting. We spent so much money to be treated that way and rushed out of the restaurant while the other people (all white) could sit and enjoy their meal and order more if they wanted but we had to be rushed and barely spoken to the entire night .They have a sign saying they have the right to refuse service but instead of being grateful that anyone wants to patronize their restaurant they opted to treat black customers like we’re begging for a free meal. No one should experience that . If you don’t want to serve me don’t take my money .

Definitley good, not the best Thai food I’ve had, but still good. Prices were fair, cheaper than other beach food options. Would definitely come again. The service was fast even though they were busy. Food was piping hot. We got bbq pork fried rice, pineapple fried rice, beef pad Thai, yellow and red curry, and two appetizers, golden bags and wonton wrapped shrimp. To drink, Thai tea and sake.

Really random find right by Malibu beach. This Thai spot features all the classic dishes and is actually fairly authentic. Good place to mix up the cuisine rotation if you’re sick of all the “New American” food in LA…

This Thai place has the best orange chicken. It’s not on the menu but ask for it and they’ll hook you up. All their regular Thai food is really good too. Get some curry and put it on rice then sprinkle the orange chicken on top and boom! Tastebuds and stomach will be happy.
