One of the best boat noodles I’ve had! The broth is rich, aromatic, and packed with flavor. The noodles and toppings were generous, and everything tasted fresh. The crispy pork crackling on the side was super crunchy and went perfectly with the soup.
Great price for the quality and portion. Friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. If you’re craving authentic Thai boat noodles, this place is definitely worth a visit. I’ll definitely be back!

I ordered two dishes:
Pad Thai
Unfortunately, this was quite disappointing. The dish lacked flavor; it was saucy, but the sauce didn’t have much taste. The tofu was grilled instead of fried, which didn’t work well in this dish. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it.
Yellow Curry Chicken
The curry was underwhelming—it lacked the depth of flavor I’m used to. The vegetables were poorly cut, and some were hard to eat. The chicken itself wasn’t bad, though, which was the only positive aspect.
The total came to AUD $38.90, which didn’t feel justified given the portion sizes and quality of the food. I won’t be recommending this place.

I usually get lunch here and decided to get a main to take away. I asked for more tofu less carrots. I got less tofu – a whole 3 pieces – and barely less carrots. Lots of sauce! Almost the same amount of food as the lunch so I wont be spending the extra money again just to get what seems mostly sauce.
I understand the lunch deal price hike but as its the same as every where else now I wont be going out of my way anymore to come for lunch. Its still tasty though

Had lunch here twice now, randomly came across it while on a work lunch break. Really big lunch menu special serving size. $12.95 including a can of drink, have left almost not finishing the meals hehe. So full! Only thing I can flaw is, they need to cook the veggies for a few minutes longer, bit hard to digest raw broccoli and capsicum. Curries are extremely delicious.
Edit: I ask for veggies to be cooked longer and they are now perfect. 5 stars. I look forward to eating here when I’m in the area. 🙂 great work.

Have these guys changed owners? Eating in or take away was always great however was surprised to find out when picking up my food the price hike. You now pay more but you receive less. They used to previously pack it in and was not only tasty but real value for money.

I called in to ask about the drinks, the person went to speak to their manager, returns and says “it’s the customers responsibility” when I asked why didn’t you tell me? how am I supposed to know to get the drinks? response: crickets on the phone.

Went to Chok Chai Thai on recommendation as we were told it was great Thai — unfortunately our experience was very disappointing.
Our takeaway order was extremely overcooked. The noodles were mushy, the vegetables were soggy, and everything lacked the fresh texture you expect from good Thai food. We specifically ordered mild dishes for the kids, but they came out Thai hot, which made them inedible for them.
We spent $140 on 3 mains and two entrees, so it was disappointing to receive food that really missed the mark.
Sadly, this was one of the worst Thai meals we’ve had. Hoping it was just an off night, but based on this experience, they definitely dropped the ball.

Went at 3.10pm on a Sunday after a day at the beachhead. Kids were cranky and starving. The food arrived within 10minutes of ordering.
The food was so amazing that even the kids just tucked in. We are just visiting from Brisbane and even my husband said let’s come here again next time we are at the Sunny Coast!

We bought takeaway, the food was amazing. This is the 2nd time we have bought from this restaurant, as we are here on holidays, otherwise it would be a lot more often. I didn’t find the online ordering system the easiest to use and wasn’t entirely sure if I was asking for the correct level of spice but that could have just been my user error. They were also very quick to prepare our food for pickup.
