Still a secret? Now you know! Chocolate Secrets is a fun brasserie on the edge of Highland Park serving lots of chocolate and live music in a charming atmosphere. The chocolate is house-made, including the Dubai Chocolate Bar – delish! Season truffles are available. Have a sports fanatic or fashionista in the family? The chocolate footballs, basketballs, tennis balls, purses and stilettos will be perfect gifts. The live music was Jazz on our night, and the live music room was packed. NOTE: if attending for the live music, $20 minimum spend is requested – appetizers, sandwiches, salads, desserts (of course!) lattes and sodas are available. Attire is super casual to dressy. No reservations for seating at the live performances, so get there at least 30 minutes before the show. Parking is minimal. No valet on the night I went. A parking lot is available one block away, which is where I parked.

Chocolate Secrets is such a cozy and charming shop! The atmosphere is calm, inviting, and perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee or indulging in something sweet. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better.

The desserts and chocolates are absolutely delicious—rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. It’s the kind of place where you can sit for a while, unwind, and just enjoy the vibe.

Whether you’re stopping by for a quick treat or spending time with friends, Chocolate Secrets is one of those hidden gems that always hits the spot. Truly a five-star place all around!

My Bestfriend and I took her birthday trip to Dallas and Chocolate Secrets was a great experience. Music was A1 , wine top tier, food cute . Brian the manager was a great host. He was very kind and on point with everything. I don’t eat pork but my Bestfriend does they made sure to accommodate us both.

Plain and simple this place sucks, and that’s disappointing.

It has a super nice atmosphere. I enjoy sitting at a table here.

The chocolate is Kate weiser presentation, and Kate weiser prices, but it’s like putting powder and paint on a hersheys bar.

We stood at the front of the line, waiting to order for upwards of 20 minutes, while there were employees present. After someone came by to take our order they said hurry up, kitchen closes in 15 minutes.

The charcuterie board we got took a considerable amount of time to come out, that one I kind of get because it takes time to prepare, but one of our party got up and saw it on a table behind the counter, and it still took another 10 minutes to come out. The board was good enough for me to have no complaints about the quality.

It was fun to get an assortment of the chocolate and rate them

Simply put, these are the best milk chocolate treats I’ve ever had. And the pecan pie was top-tier as well. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is excellent and welcoming.

Highly recommended.

What an incredible experience! We visited to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it truly became the highlight dessert stop of the entire day. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, inviting, and full of charm. You can immediately tell this place is passionate about what they do.

Every single dessert we tried tasted fresh, rich, and thoughtfully made. The flavors were perfectly balanced, sweet without being overwhelming and indulgent without feeling heavy. You can truly taste the quality of the ingredients and the care that goes into every creation. It felt less like grabbing dessert and more like enjoying a special treat crafted with love.

The presentation was beautiful and fun, which made the whole experience feel even more celebratory for a birthday outing. It is the kind of place that makes you slow down, enjoy the moment, and savor every bite. We kept saying, “You have to try this one!” with every new dessert we tasted.

The service was wonderful, friendly, welcoming, and patient while we decided what to order. The general manager went above and beyond to make David’s birthday extra special and truly made the experience memorable for us. That level of care and attention meant so much.

If you are looking for a dessert spot for a celebration, date night, or just because you deserve something sweet, this place is absolutely worth visiting. We left happy, full, and already talking about when we are coming back.

The ‘chocolate side’ of this business has really turned into a disappointment, I am not sure what has changed there. First off, their assortment has dwindled, cases are half empty and the presentation is terrible (considering the price points) … I went in for another gift (third time in 4 months) and still no signature gift boxes in stock (but on display), ribbon or even logo gift bags (only plain paper bags).. What a branding embarrassment here that the owner is missing this opportunity as no one knows where the gift is even from!! The chocolate is good here, but if I am spending 40.00 on a hostess gift, I want it to look decent. They have very few packaged holiday gift boxes either… Wake up people… I feel they just don’t care here anymore and certainly not ready for holiday! Details, details, details people!

Interesting combo chocolate store and jazz club. They have a cute coffeeshop area where you can try their chocolates with coffee or hot chocolate, and a bigger area with a restaurant menu and live music playing many evenings. Cover is $20 for music but includes a glass of wine and a piece of chocolate.
