Chocolate En La Plaza UPSTAIRS inside the Paso De Luz Mall

Social Profile:

Chocolate en La plaza was founded by chocolatiers/husband and wife Sebastian and Victoria who took an interesting turn from being bachelor students on Social Work to artisanal chocolatiers. “The goal was to bring a space of peace to the world” says the couple. This was the goal of getting a degree in Social Work. Soon after they discovered that bringing peace and appreciation to a community had nothing to do with degrees or formal education. “When you walk into our shop we want you to feel loved”. This is the culture of Chocolate en la plaza. To let everyone know that when they walk through our doors they are important. This is the same way they have taken on making their beautiful bean to artisan-chocolate confections, with love.

Delicious! There are so many tasty things in this shop! The staff is sweet and informative. The chocolates are handmade – you can see them making some there on site. And most importantly, it’s delicious!! I bought several items as gifts when I was in Santa Fe! Try it out – especially if you like dark chocolate!

This shop offers a variety of chocolates and specialty drinks. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I wasn’t sure which drink to ordered. So many great choices! I ordered a tribal iced chocolate with cinnamon & a hint of chile. Absolutely delicious!

Taste not for us, terrible attitude from the girl working there. Spent $50 for 4 chocolates that were essentially inedible.

Edit after response: we asked SEVERAL times the approximate price/weight of what we were purchasing and the person working was extremely unhelpful and honestly rude. It’s ok the pricing is by weight, but not being transparent with customers is a bit insane.

Tried the red chili chocolate dipped mango and it was really nice. We liked the heat at the end and the chocolate was tasty. Would definitely come back to this small batch chocolate shop for these next time we’re in town!

Terrible experience would not recommend.

Chocolate was overpriced and disgusting. It seemed like it had been sitting around for a long time and was not fresh.

We asked the girl at the desk about how much one of the chocolates was and her response was I don’t know, everything’s $4 an ounce. If you sell the same thing every day you think you could put pretty much everything into a range, but nope, no effort at all.

We were really excited to like this place but we bought four pieces of chocolate for almost $30 and it was so bad it was inedible! The caramel chocolate was harder than a rock and seemed like it was over a year old. Very disappointing.
