My wife and I love sushi. We enjoy Katsuya and Nobu and many other fine establishments. We stopped going to these places (at a risk of sounding old) because of the the noise, the attitude, the kids screaming and have discovered this amazing gem in Encino – walking distance from our home.
Sushi – fresh and A++
Rolls – Creative and huge!
Wine – best pour I have ever seen.
Reasonable corkage
Best salmon ever
It’s a quiet place – under control – a relaxed atmosphere – friendly staff and helpful chefs. Most importantly – Incredible sushi and more – a very extensive menu.
Check it out – it is a 5 star dining experience. Not fancy – but delicious.

We went here on NYE, thinking it was the original Cho Cho San down the street. When I asked about our reservation they acted like they didn’t know anything. We then learned that this Cho Cho San isn’t related to the other one at all. Regardless we decided to eat here.
For a busy night they had 1 server, 1 cook, and 1 sushi chef, and it was evident the staff was overwhelmed. Orders were missed and things came out late. The food was good though. This lower rating is mostly due to service related issues.

Sushi quality is excellent. Portions are great for the price. I ordered salmon and yellowtail sushi, they were delicious. Fried, sticky rice with ground tuna on top was also good but the rice wasn’t as hot as I’ve had it before. Even though it was still very tasty. They have outside seating with nice music. Staff was super friendly. I’ll definitely be returning

From the moment I stepped in, I could tell this place was something special. The atmosphere was calm, clean, and welcoming — perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. The staff greeted us with warm smiles and made sure we felt comfortable right away, which really set the tone for the evening.
The food was exceptional. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really tell that high-quality ingredients and attention to detail are a priority here. The portions were generous, and everything came out at just the right temperature. One of the dishes stood out as a favorite — full of flavor and cooked to perfection.
The service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive without hovering, offering great recommendations and checking in just enough to make sure everything was perfect. It’s rare to find a place that gets both the food and service so right. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends and family.

Everything is overall great here. The servers are very nice, and the atmosphere is good too. The food is exceptional. The salmon roll is fresh and tastes great just on its own. Can’t believe I didn’t try it with wasabi, but I’m sure it’s even tastier. Miso soup is a great appetizer at any place for me, but the way they made it was exceptional. I liked the touch of seaweed, I don’t usually see it. I tried the katsu chicken ramen with miso broth and no spicy, and it was incredible. Some of the most delicious stuff I’ve had. Will definitely be coming back when it’s possible.
