The most important thing to know about Chips ’N Ales is right in the title: We have chips and we have ale. But don’t let the name fool you–this restaurant goes way beyond just French fries and ice-cold brews. Chips ’N Ales offers that quintessentially British pub feel, but you don’t have to venture across the Atlantic for it. This homey tavern offers traditionally British and Irish cuisine, with a slight mix of America fan favorites. Enjoy a variety of beer-battered seafood, hand-cut fries, fish sandwiches and more. Just like with any old-fashioned pub, Chips ’N Ales offers a warm and friendly environment with good food and cold, tasty beer. Stop into Chips ’N Ales and stay awhile.

We came to winstar again and decided to eat chips and ales for the 8th time because it’s always delicious. My issue this time is I was told that I have to eat off a to go box because I came 30 minutes before they closed. I really wish this was on there sign. Honestly to me it should be on there websight and in store sign so people know. It’s one of my favorite places to eat in winstar casino. But I’m not much in to a styrofoam plate after spending thousands on gambling just wanted the experience of fine dining. I think we are gonna choose a different dinning location from here on out after this.

When we got the food it wasn’t what we ordered but Ira was so extremely helpful and so polite and immediately fixed our order. He also asked if there was anything else he could help us with.
The food was absolutely great but it always is.
Everyone there was so polite and friendly.
We will continue to eat here.
Great food and great atmosphere!

Had the fish platter. Two (2) of the three (3) pieces were great. Fish cook: flakey, tasty. Batter, crisp and crunchy. As I stated one (1) piece of fish was bad, smelled off and tasted same. Fries, were limp and not cooked at either not high enough temperature or long enough.

I added four (4) pieces of shrimp. They were pretty alright

Ordered the Number 1. This was a refreshing change from burger joints. My wife loved it. The slaw was even good. Not as good as KFC slaw but different. The fish was good. And loads of fries. Sauces galore too. We were stuffed. We will go back and try the combo platter. Update:
Tried the combo platter and the shrimp are so good. Fish and chicken in 2nd place. Slaw is bringing up the rear this time. Wifey didn’t love as much.

The chicken was delicious, the cod was also very good. The shrimp were decent, little to much breading for my liking on that one. The cocktail sauce wasn’t quite what I am use to but wasn’t bad. The tarter sauce for the cod was good. Ranch was a little water down. A lot of the chairs are on their last leg and felt as if they’d break underneath us. The staff was friendly and attentive. The fries weren’t my favorite. They weren’t crisp nor were they well seasoned. Kind of just mushy bland fries. A lot of hits when coming here but definitely had a few misses. Still would recommend.

I tell everyone about how great this place is! Easily the best place inside the casino for quick service. Lately the food has been excessively salty. It’s always been fantastic…maybe I’m just coming through at the wrong times but something I hope they look into

It’s not the most greasy fish and chips I’ve had. They’re not too salty, and they are generous with the salty fries. Cole slaw is on the relish side and a good compliment. Wish the cods were bigger would be my only request, but the #1 Platter for $14 is the price is a fair price.

This is more of a 3.5. I will say the pricing is good for a casino restaurant. I got the chicken tender salad. So I didn’t know the tenders would be super breaded like the fish and they also overdid it with the spring mix. So it was decent at best. Also not a good variety on hot sauce brands either.

The place needed a bit of cleaning of tables, chairs and floors. The baskets need more than one newspaper because the oil leaks out and gets on table and clothes. Now the FOOD….WOW best batter cob and chicken I have had in a while. Wish the coleslaw was bigger because the taste was on point. The fries have amazing sessioning to them also. Service was very friendly.

After playing in the casino for a few hours, we decided to stop in here for a late-night snack around 11:00pm. There were only a few people eating when we walked in the door, I ordered the Irish Nachos (fries’ w/toppings), and my spouse ordered the Chips (fries).
While we stood there to pay, I looked behind us and noticed a swarm of people in line. Like this place really fills up fast. The restaurant closes at midnight, so maybe everyone decided to come before closing.

The staff wasn’t overly friendly, and almost all of them looked tired. Maybe because it was 11pm?

We paid for our food and sat down. Our food was on our table within 7 minutes or less. My Irish nachos came with jalapeños, sour cream, and cheese. I had them remove the bacon, as I don’t eat meat. The fries were pretty good, not too greasy, however, the fries at the bottom of the basket were just a little over cooked. So, I didn’t eat those.

They don’t have options here for Veg Heads, other than fries. Unless you order the chicken, tender salad and have them remove the chicken.

Overall, I thought the atmosphere was nice, and the fries were tasty.
