The staff could slow down a little and listen better though. Seems like they don’t understand the word ‘light’.
And the Guacamole is too expensive.
I grabbed a quick bowl (chicken, black beans, salsa, lettuce) around 8:45pm before a 14-hour flight. Biggest mistake ever.
Two hours into the flight, I started vomiting. And it didn’t stop. I was stuck in that awful airplane bathroom for TEN HOURS. I lost count after getting sick 8 times. The flight crew had to help me with an oxygen tank and meds. Asking doctor on plane to volunteer for injections. It was the most humiliating and painful experience of my life. I landed with a high fever and was stopped to continue my journey.
I know 100% it was this meal. My husband and friends ate the exact same things I did all day except for this Chipotle stop. They were fine. I was the only one who ate here and I was the only one who got deathly ill.
I’m still recovering. I can’t even look at salsa anymore without feeling sick. Not to mention, they were slow in service compared to other Chipotle.
Service: …
For this experience, I was trying to redeem a reward, but the app was having issues (which central customer support later acknowledged as well), long story short, my points disappeared. I did this all in front of the cashier.
Occasional app issues are understandable. However, the main point was that the cashier/manager next to her was incredibly unsympathetic and unhelpful in resolving this, looking at me as if I was trying to cheat the company out of $3. Are you serious? I’m not complaining about having to pay an extra $3, but how I was simply dismissed, given how much I’ve spent at the restaurant over the years. Way to reward loyalty.
In any case, this experience was quite negative and given how this particular restaurant was always quite hit or miss, I won’t be going back.
A good example of a proper quick and easy restaurant, The Kebab Shop, is just across the street. I just wanted to mention them out because they are similar to Chipotle and they’ve had much more consistent good quality every time I’ve gone. There’s also a decent In N Out a block away.
I’d avoid this chipotle if you don’t feel like gambling.
