While waiting for the online order to be ready… It’s usually either watching the empty counter that they use for online orders, watching the slowest employee in the world do one ingredient, walk away, come back and do another, walk away, do another. (They weren’t refilling stuff… Just disappearing).
Or in one case the guy doing online orders stopped when an ex employee came in (that was fired a few months before as per their conversation) and talked with them while someone else made the order. My order ended up being 40 minutes later than estimated and there were several other people waiting. Then apologized for it taking so long when he finally handed me my order as if I didn’t hear the last 30 minutes of conversation. I wish I was exaggerating. Pretty sure he quit shortly after (that was part of the conversation…)
Anyways. I’m including a picture of what today’s order looked like. (Order was white rice, black beans, carnitas, light salsa, light SC, light cheese, lettuce. This is what I got. (The 2nd meal ordered requested veggies and got none). Pretty sure it was still fully cooked, but it didn’t taste very good.
If this was the first time I’ve been to chipotle, I’d never even think about going to another one ever again. It’s very unlikely I’ll ever go to this location after today. I’ve been dealing with the crappy service for a while because it’s a convenient location.
I probably should have walked out at that point but it was late and I had been traveling all day. Food was gross, I’ve had some disappointing experiences at restaurants but this one takes the cake.
Again, could have been an off night but some questionable gas station sushi might be a step up. That mixed with the lack of service really put me off to Chipotle for a while. Try anything else surrounding this particular Chipotle.
Entered location on Saturday evening with a full lobby waiting (20+). They were noticably low on staff. There were 5 people running the location during dinner rush. One was working online/delivery orders. Two on the line for in-store orders and two in the grill area. One employee disappeared after a while, so it could’ve been the end of her shift.
The employee making the orders was very friendly and helpful. There were several items that they were out of, and he made an announcement to everyone, so he wouldn’t have to repeat himself. This is bothersome, because the manager who is responsible for ordering, hasn’t learned how to supply their store. (Previous reviews of out of stock items.) The employee who took my payment was super friendly and had great customer service. At one point, he was going back and forth between cashier and secondary online order assembler. Employee in the grill area seemed unmotivated and didn’t have any sense of urgency.
My order was ok, but noticed that the rice didn’t contain cilantro, and was a little dry. The rest was made well.
The lobby needed attention as there was no ice in the soft drink station, and the lid was missing. This would allow debris to potentially fall in the ice bin. The plastic wear was running low as well. Lots of dirty tables, with only 1 semi clean one, where I sat.
In addition to the 20+ people waiting in line to order, there were 6 delivery drivers waiting for their orders. They were severely backed up and the wait was more than 20 minutes.
This location needs training and staffing. Out of stock items are caused by inventory manager, not able to order what is needed. Staffing would increase the speed of service, increasing customer satisfaction.
If you have time to wait, this location is ok. Cannot recommend this location to anyone who needs a quick bite or has their heart set on a certain way their order is made. (Out of stock items)
