My bowl was packed with fresh ingredients — the rice was fluffy, the chicken was perfectly seasoned, and the toppings tasted crisp and well-prepped. You could tell everything had just been made. The portions were generous, and every bite had that perfect balance of flavor that Chipotle is known for when they’re at their best.
The restaurant itself was clean, organized, and well-stocked, which added to how smooth the experience felt. This was easily the best meal I’ve had at any Chipotle location, and the service pushed it over the top. I’ll definitely be returning.
We went a couple of weeks ago, and normally we love Chipotle—but this visit was probably our last, especially at this location.
The young man making our to-go bowls literally scraped the bottom of the brown rice container and served my daughter hard, burnt rice, even though fresh rice was being made right behind him by another employee. My daughter barely had any rice in her bowl. When I asked for a side of rice because what was in her bowl was unacceptable, I was told I’d have to pay extra.
The portion sizes were ridiculous for the price of a bowl. It’s really disappointing because the staff at the former Chipotle location were friendly and generous—actually giving more than one scoop of rice. None of that seems to exist at the new location.
We haven’t been back since, which is sad because Chipotle used to be a family favorite for a quick meal. Unfortunately, both the food quality and customer service have seriously declined since COVID.
I gave this Chipotle a second try and it was much better but still needs some improvement. I went around 1pm on a Friday.
The rice wasn’t undercooked today and the portion sizes were normal. These were probably the most common issues from all reviews. All of the food items were available during the lunch rush.
The service was faster for me today.
What needs improvement is the cleanliness of all surfaces. There’s a lot of food crumbs everywhere that need to be wiped down more often. This is a common problem in other reviews.
The staff was checking the temps of the food items when I went though, which is a good thing.
The ceiling is still weird and makes the building seem unfinished.
The experience of each visit here will probably vary day to day. And maybe management is reading the reviews and trying to improve but who knows.
Original Review: 2 Stars:
The issues with this new location seem to be from management and staff still figuring things out. The staff at the previous Sharonville location right next to where the new one was built worked very well together but I didn’t see any of them when I went.
My biggest issues with the food were the rice was undercooked and crunchy. The portions were also very small. I went at 9pm on a Saturday and a few food items being low or out of stock after the dinner rush is to be expected, but more items were out of stock than normal when the restaurant is still open for 2 more hours.
When I ordered it wasn’t busy but service took longer than normal. This caused a line to back up.
Something weird about the building is the ceiling in the dining room is just exposed plywood and it seems like it opened before construction fully finished.
Overall I hope these issues can be corrected and I’m going to wait a few months to return to this one in hopes that everything gets worked out.
Now to the cashier, seemed very nice but also very preoccupied. We politely declined the chips twice. Asked for drinks, twice. And then after paying $33 for 2 burritos and 2 drinks, we had to ask again…for cups…for the drinks.
On to the drink station around the corner. No tea of any kind. The fruit drinks were in dispensers that had gnats buzzing around them and they looked as if they MAY have been cleaned sometime during 2025. There was 1 spoon. A few forks. But there were enough knives to pave I75 all the way back to Louisville. The garbage cans were overflowing.
Before leaving we topped off our drinks. As we turned around, the friendly cashier was taking care of the garbage. She was shoving it back down into the cans with her bare hands. The same hands that had recently handled our food and 2, yes 2 drink cups.
Happy New Year Kids!
I was very frustrated to see the small amount of chicken they served me, and on top of that, they wouldn’t let me redeem my coupon for free guacamole with my burrito bowl dinner. The cashier was very stubborn about scanning the tortillas even though I told her I didn’t want them; I wanted the guacamole with my dinner. In the end, she hid my dinner and refused to sell it to me because, she said, it was her right as an employee. She didn’t call the manager to resolve this conflict by voiding the transaction and starting over, which would have been the logical way to solve a problem like that. ☹️
