Had a fantastic lunch at this location the other day! Amy and her crew were so nice, accommodating, and quick. The carnitas were plump, juicy, meaty and delicious. My two tacos were absolute perfection. Plus, Chipotle is a great, healthy alternative to all the fast food chains around there. They even have a Chipotlane drive-through for mobile/pickup orders. It’s a busy spot like most stores but I didn’t feel rushed and was very comfy eating in the dining area. Overall, great experience! Killer job Independence CMG, keep up the good work! Yummo .

I’ve always enjoyed Chipotle, but honestly, it’s not quite like it used to be. The portions have definitely gotten smaller, which is disappointing considering that one of the big appeals was always getting a hearty, filling meal most of the time with leftovers. The food still has good flavor, but it just doesn’t feel as generous or satisfying anymore. I had a lot of fatty pieces in my chicken that were just not edible.
On top of that, the restaurant itself is on the smaller side, and the parking lot isn’t much better—tight spaces and not a lot of room, which makes visiting a little inconvenient. Overall, it’s okay if you’re craving Chipotle, but I miss the larger portions and the more comfortable setup some other locations have. Although it’s nice to have one right in Independence!

They weren’t very busy, e families sitting at the tables eating and 3 families in line. They were rushing everyone through the line as if there were 30 people in line. I was telling the guy what to put on 2 burritos and my 8 year old daughter was telling the girl what to put on her burrito (I glaned over at my daughter to make sure that she was good ordering by herself, barbacoa burrito) since she usually gets a build your own. They started having me pay before my daughter’s burrito was done being made (I should have stopped the transaction and made them wait but I didn’t). I paid and by that time all 3 burritos were in the bag. We get down the road to pick up my son so we could eat together and my daughter’s burrito was literally the size of my palm! The tortilla was wrapped around literally 3 times! It was literally 1/8th the size of the other two burritos (I understand she’s 8, she usually eats her whole burrito that’s normally as big as mine)! Also, if you condone making it the size of my palm, (literally!) then there should be small/Medium/large options with different price points! Because I was still charged $12.95!!

Brooklynn and Garrett are the absolute BEST! The food was great sure, but it’s the staff that makes the place and they’re so wonderful and kind! I’ve sent feedback to corporate about how amazing Garrett and Brooklyn are, I so hope they get some recognition and reward!

You pay 30 dollars for 2 people’s meals and you wait for ever. The chips are god awful and stale. Also there’s literally 14 chips in a bag. Chipotle is awful now and this location especially is bottom of the barrel.

THE 4th TIME!! Stopped in today, no onions or peppers. I asked if they had any and she said no, I’ll check the other side.. she said no we don’t have fijatas right now. This is the fourth time I have been in where some of the food wasn’t fixed or out of it. Again I just walked out.
This is beyond annoying! I don’t understand why they don’t fix the product they are out of! Eating out has gotten where people are going less and less and this doesn’t help. Management needs to figure out what the problem is.. I wish I had recorded the conversation. I stopped in around 7:35pm waited around 5 minutes before I attempted to order. I’m on your camera’s.. gray sweatshirt.

Stopped by at 630 on a Friday night 9-19-25. No line. But they were out of regular steak and when asked how long was advised 10 minutes. How are you all out of food at 630 on a Friday? No hustle in that place.

Ordered a veggie burrito, and the employee began making it like nothing was the matter and put the rice on. When I asked for fajitas veggies, she said they didn’t have any, and asked what I wanted on it. Now, why would that not be something she’d think to mention when I ordered a veggie burrito? Now as I read the many reviews left here by others that the veggies (and other ingredients) are constantly not available, I realize it didn’t occur to her to mention they were out of veggies because it’s the norm to be out. My burrito ended up tasting pretty good, but the chicken in my wife’s and daughter’s food was way too salty. We won’t be back.
