I’ve been to multiple Chipotle locations, including the one in Melbourne, and the difference here was honestly shocking.
I ordered a basic chicken bowl (rice and beans only) with a small drink—nothing extra, nothing special—and somehow the total was almost $14. The same exact meal costs around $10 at another Chipotle nearby. Same food, same portions, same brand. There’s no justification for that kind of price jump other than charging more just because of the location, and it feels like straight-up price gouging.
What made it worse was the customer service. The staff was rude, disengaged, and seemed uncomfortable even answering basic questions. No eye contact, no explanation, no attempt to be helpful—just an awkward, dismissive vibe the entire time. It honestly felt like they didn’t care whether customers were there or not.
If you’re going to charge significantly more for the same food, the service should at least be better, not worse. Between the inflated prices and poor attitude, this location is an easy one to avoid. I won’t be back.

This place is an absolute disaster whenever I go in. The place is dirty and a mess. They are clearly understaffed. Plus if you order a salad it’s mostly stems of “greens”. Who wants to eat a bowl of stems? I had to pick them out. Additionally, the “queso” is like watery cheddar cheese that’s excessively spicy. The music is terrible and too loud, further adding to your unpleasant experience.

Placed an online order a couple of weeks ago and by the time we got back home and opened our bowls it was a completely different order than what was on both bowls stickers. I double checked to make sure it was my name and it was. We went back again today and placed another online order pick-up and this time it was correct but, they left the peppers sticker on it and cut it up as shown in picture. It makes you wonder if they even wash their vegetables before cooking and serving.

I don’t get the popularity of Chipotle, it’s basically a noisy cafeteria with inflated prices. There were several people in line but the tables were empty. We ate there but after doing so it was clear why people get it to go. All the surfaces are hard and amplify the sound of the loud workers and blaring music. The chairs are uncomfortable and few of the tables were clean.
I got a carne asada bowl, the meat was tasty but there wasn’t much of it. The rice was high quality and cooked correctly. The roasted veggies were good but it was only onions and yellow peppers. The other ingredients were fine. The bill for a sparse bowl was $13.54. If I had gotten a dollop of guacamole it would have been $16.48. For that amount of money I could have gone to a real restaurant with a decent atmosphere.

We got there right before dinner rush. There was a family in front of us and it took a few minutes for someone to even come to them. When we got to order all of the meats were very low or out, which is surprising considering dinner rush. There was a long line of people behind us at this point. All of the employees seemed very depressed. Maybe overworked? All of the tables were dirty. The highchairs were filthy with rice and cheese and There were no napkins. We had to get some paper towels from the bathroom. This location definitely needs help. I’ve eaten there on several occasions in the past few months and everytime I am disappointed with the service and cleanliness.

Ordered a Steak bowl. They were out of white rice and had very little lime rice which was old and dried out. They had no black beans so I had to get pinto beans. Finally I get to the steak and they were short on that so they served me a little scoop. I asked for extra steak and got another little scoop. All in all I was charged for the extra steak even though I didn’t even get a regular scoop. And they charged me $5.60 for the extra steak.

Roaches…they quite literally exploded from the bag. I couldn’t even count how many there was after I dropped it. If you like brown roaches for rice and black ones for beans…be my guest. My friends and I were so shocked we didn’t even record it. Disgusting just Disgusting is all I got to say.

The manager clearly charged us for guac which we didn’t order. So we took the guac, then realized she charged us for steak but we got chicken. Went back to the counter she said she would refund so I went back to my meal. She walked over said she needed my card to refund and charge again, I said it’s ok don’t worry about it and she said it wasn’t her fault that the bowl top was marked wrong. I showed her the bowl it clearly says “C”. Shame
