I’ve been holding back with a review for months however, today was the final straw. I’ve noticed a FEW times where it seems that they purposely give you less so that you HAVE to ask for more so that you can be charged more. Out of ALL the Chipotle’s I’ve visited, this is the ONLY location that has increased in price moreso than any other locations by $5 – $7 . Double steak at this location was way cheaper months ago, NOW I am literally paying $22 for double steak :/ NO other location charges this much! Rice is added to the bowl with just a pinch and then spread out to make it appear that it’s alot instead of just taking 2 regular spoonfuls and putting it in the bowl (it’s mainly one person that does this the most, however, others do it too). They try and give you what looks like 5-8 pieces of steak instead of just taking a spoonful and putting that in the bowl. As SOON as you ask for more they give you 1-2 pieces which forces “can I just get double steak” then all of a sudden they know how to get a spoonful. When asked about the prices (when did this change?), there was no answer except I don’t know. Today took the cake because my entire meal went in the garbage after returning to work. The steak tasted as if they put no seasoning on it at all, the rice had no salt at all and my entire meal was so bland it was tasteless and disgusting…. and THIS is what I paid $22 for . My money went in the toilet within 5mins of eating. I was expecting a hot meal on my lunch break…. instead, I returned to work and had to heat it up. Being that $22 is in the trash, I am now just eating applesauce. I may really have to rethink visiting any of these locations anymore because Chipotle is starting to get sloppy this location is overcharging people and the location at 10501 W Broad can’t seem to open during the start of business hours. I think I am just done with this place. Definitely NEVER coming here again!

One of the WORST Chipotle location you can ever imagine, I was a long term chipotle fan, but some reason past few online orders are going to this location, and portions are very low and quality is too low. If chipotle won’t address this location issue, i will not be ordering from them anymore.

One of the worst place for chipotle. They always make worst of chipotle if ordered online. I am not able to understand how can anyone messed up if things are all prepared in the containers and all the selection already there on the receipt, they just need to read and put the stuffs in the bowl. I believe they deliberately make it wrong.

Wasted my money by ordering online.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this Chipotle location has consistently delivered an experience far below the standard of the brand.

The portions here are extremely small, to the point where a regular bowl looks like a half-serving. When I politely asked about it, the staff were unnecessarily rude and insisted that the tiny portion was “what they usually give.” They even attempted to charge extra for what should have been a normal serving.

It’s disappointing, especially because this location already has poor reviews on Google, and unfortunately my experience confirms those concerns. Chipotle’s corporate team should be aware that the management at this branch is hurting the brand and driving customers away.

Until something changes, I strongly recommend that people avoid this location and visit another Chipotle in the area instead.

Disappointing Decline in Quality

After being a long-time fan of Chipotle, my recent experiences with their steak and chicken bowl have left much to be desired. Over the past three months, I’ve given this particular location three chances, hoping for improvement, but each visit has only added to my frustration. I’m someone who typically enjoys every bite of a Chipotle bowl, usually savoring it down to the last grain of rice. Yet, this recent bowl, like the previous two, was so unbearably salty that finishing it felt impossible. As someone who’s loyal to flavors and quality, this was a serious letdown.

On my most recent visit, I ordered my usual steak and chicken combination, expecting the tender, well-seasoned protein and fresh ingredients I’m accustomed to. However, what I received was a dish so oversalted that it masked the taste of everything else. The steak, which I’ve always enjoyed for its robust flavor and tender texture, felt overly seasoned and tough in comparison to past experiences. The chicken didn’t fare much better, and it’s as if the seasoning hadn’t been measured at all. Each bite seemed to leave a stronger, saltier aftertaste, overpowering the freshness of the rice, lettuce, and other toppings.

I typically appreciate the customization Chipotle offers, so I tried balancing the saltiness with extra lettuce and vegetables to mellow it out. Unfortunately, even this adjustment couldn’t make the bowl more palatable. The seasoning overwhelmed every ingredient, to the point that I found myself picking around the protein to avoid the overly salted bites. This isn’t what I expect from a quick and healthy meal option; it was genuinely disappointing to not be able to enjoy the bowl as intended.

My dissatisfaction isn’t solely about taste. There’s a level of consistency I’ve come to expect from Chipotle, especially as a fast-casual option that I rely on for both quality and convenience. Three strikes at this location, with the same overwhelming saltiness, suggests a lack of attention to the standard recipes or quality checks. It’s disheartening, considering I used to look forward to these bowls, knowing I’d leave feeling satisfied. I’m not one to waste food, but for the past few visits, finishing even half the bowl has been a struggle.

After these repeated experiences, I can’t see myself returning to this particular Chipotle location. While I understand that seasoning levels can vary, this seems like a persistent issue here. For anyone considering this location, I’d recommend checking reviews or opting for another option nearby. For me, Chipotle was once a go-to spot, but this experience has unfortunately shifted my perspective.

I don’t know what is going on with Chipotle right now but it appears their hell-bent on going out of business. We ordered takeout for a family of five and the order was so atrocious that we were considering taking it back. There was a fraction of food that was left in the bowls. Bowels were put in the bag upside down and completely ruined. It would be laughable if it wasn’t so much money and a complete inconvenience. We reached out to customer service and the response we got was horrific. They apologize and offer us a buy one get one deal after completely ruining our dinner. There is just no way that they would have tried to give us this food if we would have been dining in.

Easy in and easy out. Staff are polite and friendly. Portions still aren’t controlled. Some workers add a lot while others skimp like it’s for a toddler. This is another one of Richmond’s newer locations that have a separate area specifically for mobile and online orders to be prepared.

It was clean inside on the floors, tables, and area to pick up plastic ware and napkins.

The food station area was also clean. There wasn’t food spilled on the counters and floor.

There were ample employees working to ensure that freshly prepared food was being made to handle the influx of customers.

I’d return to this location.

Update: Removing another star because when I got to the office all of the salsa had poured out in the bag because the person failed to put the lid on the container properly. The lid was laying in the bag as if had never been placed on the container. It also ruined my seat in the car. Not happy with this.
