Years ago Chipotle used to be good in service and food quality. More recently food quality and service has greatly declined, the stock price speaks to that. I went to South Riding Chipotle on 2/17/2026 evening and picked up an order placed on the app. When I reached home the food was not what I ordered leaving us to figure out alternate plans for dinner. What a waste of time and money.

I had a similar experience to what many others have mentioned — the portion sizes were far too small, and when I asked for a little extra, I received a response that was not at all welcoming. The servings were barely 4oz, even though the chain claims otherwise.
The chips were stale and not cooked properly. While most of the staff came across as rude, the tall cashier was courteous and polite, which I appreciated. However, it felt as though he was trying to make up for the behavior of the GM/Manager (a short woman), who was noticeably rude.
I also observed that the rest of the crew seemed more concerned about whether the manager was watching them, rather than focusing on customer service. It looked as though they were afraid she might scold them for giving out portions that were even slightly larger than what she wanted.
During the entire time I sat and ate, I couldn’t help but notice that this location consistently served much smaller portions than other branches of the same chain. The management should seriously review not only the portion sizes, but also the staff’s behavior towards customers and the overall cleanliness of the restaurant.

Looks like the owners saw those one-star reviews and fixed things; the portions were fine, I even had leftovers! The taste was just as good as it was five years ago, when I last went. I got the limited-time smoked brisket – tasty, though a bit pricey ($13.95 vs. the usual $10-$11). My wife’s carnitas were great too. Some staff were still a bit clumsy, especially with the bowls, so maybe those early customers got the short end of the stick. But we’ll definitely go back for lunch.

WORST CHIPOTLE IN THE AREA!!!! RAW CHICKEN!!!!!

I work at dicks sporting goods right across the street, and I always come here to pick up food for my lunch break or after my shift. Today I picked up my order and the chicken is raw. It has come to the point where I come here once a week because of the convinence. But every time I go, the portions are so TERRIBLE. I always pay extra for double chicken or guacamole, but they never give me what I pay for. I hope I’m paying extra because I will get extra, but that’s not what happens. I PAID 3 DOLLARS FOR GUAC AND THEY GAVE ME THIS! Little scoop of guacamole. Very disappointed. It is consistently like this.

One day, I came here to pick up an order, and there was another customer waiting before me who said she had already been waiting for 40 minutes to an hour. She was clearly upset because she kept trying to get help, but none of the staff seemed to care. I also ended up waiting at least 30 minutes, if not longer.

On another visit, I ordered in person, and one of the employees was very rude. When I asked for a little more rice because the portion was too small, she slammed the container down very hard. It was so loud that it really surprised me, and it felt like she was annoyed just because I made a simple request. After that, she put an excessive amount of sour cream on my bowl though I asked for a small amount, which made the food cold and ruined the taste.

This location is the closest Chipotle to my home, so I used to come here often. Unfortunately, because of these repeated experiences, I now hesitate to come here even though it’s the most convenient option. I understand that service can depend on who is working at the time, but this has not been a one-time issue, which is why I’m leaving this review.

The worst Chipotle I’ve ever visited. Service was very slow and it was only 4 people in line. The person making the food seemed like they had little to no training. Eating area was trashed and I had to clean a table for my family to eat. An employee on break was sitting with her feet up on the drink station and didn’t get down when I approached just moved over with feet still on counter and continued her phone conversation. So very unsanitary. The food was terrible. The chicken tasted like they hadn’t cleaned the grill and it was partly burnt. Food appearance sucked and portions of the ingredients were way off. Ordered the new red chimichurri sauce, which is an up charge, but it had half the ingredients in it so the taste wasn’t the same as other chipotle I’ve had it at. This place needs new management or better management. Never going there again. Worst $60 ive spent in a while.

Rice was cold (makes you wonder how long it sat out), meat was barely warm and did not taste good. First time I’ve had such an unappealing experience at Chipotle. I do not recommend this Dulles Landing location .

this chipotle is genuinely the worst chipotle I have ever been to. when I got to the restaurant, it was packed and one of the managers was aggressively yelling out times to the employees trying to make them work faster. The other employees were visibly stressed out and made me the wrong order. I asked for kid tacos, but they made me regular tacos making the price triple the amount I was prepared to pay. i expected to pay $5-6 but ended up with a $16 bill. when I was checking out, the workers (including the manager) were very rude to me when I was confused that they were charging me for regular tacos. They did not offer to fix my meal for me.
I will never go to this chipotle again, and I recommend going to the Chantilly location rather than this one.

Used my Chipotle rewards and was immediately blamed by the cashier when they didn’t apply. Turns out he selected the wrong option. A manager confirmed this and only applied the rewards after I pushed—yet there was zero apology and plenty of attitude, as if the mistake was mine.

If employees don’t know how the rewards system works, customers shouldn’t be blamed for it. Do better.
