I visited the Union Township location in New Castle, PA this evening for a carne asada bowl. I was told there would be @ 5 minute wait for the carne asada. I said no problem. While I was waiting I observed 3 employees, a male who was busy preparing the carne asada and 2 females. One of the females was on her phone and the other was chatting up the boy fixing the asada. I also noticed that the trash was overflowing and the tables were dirty and in need of busing. I asked the girl talking to the boy if she wanted me to bus the table while I waited. She thought I was serious. I also mentioned that the garbage was overflowing. She replied, that wasn’t her job and that she wasn’t doing that. She said that they shouldn’t have to do that for the money they got paid. From what I could see she was getting paid to stand around and talk to other employees while they were working and distract them from it and make me wait longer for my order. Speaking of my order, I asked for a side of the red chimichurri and was told they were out. I guess making more of that wasn’t in her job description either. Also the rice was undercooked and crunchy. All and all not a good experience and probably won’t be back. Pictures available if anyone is interested. Chipotle 10-13-25

Carnitas noun
plural noun: carnitas; plural noun: carnita
(in Mexican cooking) braised or roasted pork served shredded in small pieces, often as a filling in tacos, burritos, etc.
Our experience ordering from this Chipotle was HORRENDOUS! They almost sent our order out with another person, they made our order wrong not ONCE but TWICE, and got everything that came with my quesadilla wrong except the sour cream. The FIRST time my fiancé went to pick up our order, the guy at the register handed our order to the guy ahead of us. When my fiancé said his name, the employee had to call the guy back to the register to switch the orders. My fiancé looked in the bag and both items in the order were tagged with the correct name and listed the correct items. After, we had gotten all the way back home, we sat down to eat when I realized the employee gave me a carnitas quesadilla with two sides of brown rice and sour cream. My fiancé took the quesadilla back, the employee looked at it and confirmed that he accidentally put carnitas on the quesadilla instead of chicken. The employee also let him know that they were out of the tomato salsa. No big deal. He was not upset at the time and he gave the employee time to “correct” the order then brought it back home once again. When I opened my container, white rice instead of brown like I ordered (at that point I didn’t care), but I trusted that the new quesadilla had been fixed and bit into it. For a SECOND TIME, carnitas instead of chicken…. I had my fiancé try it and even looked up what the chicken should look like and photos of other peoples’ orders to make certain that I wasn’t imaging it… Definitely wasn’t. We will never be ordering from this location again. I don’t recommend that anyone else does either. The picture with this shows a promo photo of their carnitas and the picture of my SECOND messed up quesadilla.
What I got was 3 hard tacos that they originally had the dasher call me to see if I would want a burrito instead. Not a burrito with beans n rice – just all my 3 taco fillings in a burrito. Asked about hard shells was told they only had 2 then magically found many more.
At no point did they tell my dasher that they weren’t just out of soft taco shells, they were also out of lettuce and cheese.
My chicken quesadilla? All chicken. So. Much. Chicken. Why bother ordering a quesadilla ?
Burrito? No cheese, no lettuce.
NO MENTION OF BEING OUT OF THESE INGREDIENTS TO MY DASHER. if you’re out of things fine, but this location needs to stop lying to ppl about what they have in stock.
I would have just canceled my order instead of wasting money.
No taco shells, no cheese, no lettuce, and the worst – no honesty.
Thanks I guess for the extra queso n chips to make up for it? Would have rather canceled my order instead.
The order wasn’t worth what I paid for.
I’ve also tried Hot Head Burritos, which offers a similar setup, but the ingredient quality doesn’t compare, and their selection of meats is more limited. That said, Hot Head is slightly more affordable.
If Google allowed half-star ratings, I would give Chipotle 3.5 stars. The high price and inconvenient parking — with a large portion of the lot reserved for digital and catering orders — prevent me from giving it a perfect score.
That said, the food itself is very good, so I’m rounding up to 4 stars.
I stepped up to order and there were two bins of beans that were nearly empty, dry, and crusted over – I had to choose black beans. Not only that, but the sour cream was spoiled.
There was also a very racial statement made by a crew member behind the counter.
My overall impression? I won’t eat here again, which stinks, because I love Chipotle.
