The employee who took our order tonight was extremely rude, rushed, and unprofessional. For management’s awareness, he was a tall, thin (but not skinny) young man, likely a teenager or in his early 20s, with blonde hair and an oval/rectangular face.
My boyfriend ordered a burrito and specifically asked for black beans, but when he received his food there were none at all. It felt like the employee was moving too fast and not listening. He even yelled that there was “a line” when I was the only other customer waiting.
When it was my turn, I ordered a bowl and asked for as much white rice as would reasonably fit. I was given two very small scoops, so I politely asked for 2–3 more. Instead, I received only one additional scoop along with eye-rolling and sighing—as if I was inconveniencing him, even though I was paying for the meal.
When I chose chicken, he appeared annoyed, abruptly turned around, and tossed some chicken into my bowl. The chicken tasted very strange and unlike anything I’ve ever had at Chipotle. At the salsa station, I asked for green salsa and some red salsa. I received no green salsa at all and an excessive amount of red salsa. Another employee thankfully stepped in and gave me the green salsa I asked for, along with sour cream and a small sprinkle of cheese.
By that point, the experience was already ruined. My bowl was completely drenched in salsa and sour cream, making it soggy and unpleasant. I tried a few bites, but it tasted awful and I couldn’t finish it. I was hoping to have leftovers for the next day, but that wasn’t possible. I even felt the need to warn other customers walking in about the poor service.
We will not be returning to the Butler Chipotle and will instead drive to the Cranberry location. I truly hope management seriously addresses this situation and lets this employee go, as his behavior reflects extremely poorly on the store. I am also hoping for a refund for this meal and will be reaching out to corporate to report my experience.
Very disappointed.
I have documented the issue with photos and a video and have already contacted Chipotle customer service so this can be properly reviewed.
In addition, the service experience at this location has been consistently poor. On multiple occasions, even when the store was not busy, customers were left waiting at the counter without any acknowledgment or a simple “we’ll be right with you,” which makes the experience frustrating.
I am sharing this feedback in hopes that management takes this seriously and improves both food safety and basic customer service.
Online ordering is garbage, 12/19/21 ordered 3 tacos chips and queso. First attempt I got no chips and queso, and my tacos looked like a 4 year old made them. Second attempt, at the same order 2/3 tacos were sour cream and lettuce, and one had a small scoop of meat. And, again no chips. Like the service is poor. Like if your out of chips and items for making tacos let the consumer know….. I don’t recommend.
So I wanted to do a follow up, 04/14/2022. I decided to eat in. On first appearance the restaurant is incredibly dirty and empty. Tables covered in food scraps, and everyone just kind of standing around. I order, which on closer observation of the food prep I immediately regretted. The kitchen looked absolutely disgusting, and apparently there soda fountain was down too. And I can imagine it’s not being cleaned either. So, I get my food, and mind you I asked to eat in. Was not given a tray and basically had to make a placement mat out of paper towels. I couldn’t eat it, after seeing everything and the basic lack of cleanliness has me wondering if it’s even safe to eat there. Gave it a second chance still would avoid like the plague
