As someone who goes to Chipotle 4–5 times a week, I was really disappointed with my visit this past Sunday at the Vestal location.
First, I ordered two bowls and the rice in both was hard and undercooked, which was already frustrating considering how often I eat here and what I usually expect in terms of quality.
Additionally, I ordered a large bag of chips. The cashier told me they “didn’t have any.” However, I could clearly see a large pan full of chips behind the counter. When I pointed that out, I was told those were only for “mobile orders.” I don’t think that’s appropriate at all. It feels like customers who take the time to come into the restaurant are being treated as less important than those who order online.
Because of this, I asked to speak with the manager, Jacob. Unfortunately, he repeated the same explanation and, when I expressed that it didn’t seem fair to prioritize online orders over in-store customers, he responded in a rather rude manner and said there was nothing he could do.
As a loyal customer who visits multiple times a week, this experience was very disappointing. I hope management can address both the food quality and the customer service at this location.

My teenager desperately wanted Chipotle for dinner. We live an hour away. I surrendered, against my better judgment. Once again, we waited over an hour and 20 minutes, with fewer than 12 people in front of us, to order our food. One employee was manning the order station. He repeatedly had to leave to get refills on ingredients while “teammates” stood around. Employees randomly popped up front, empty handed. The line was 3/4 of the way around the dining room. No corn salsa available. I watched the person behind the cash register wipe half a table and then return to the register. He stood around doing NOTHING. The floor was relatively clean, but the garbage cans were overflowing, as usual. One customer had to ask for utensils. I had to ask for napkins. There were no drinks in the lemonade dispenser area. We won’t be back.

Went into this Chipotle over a week ago, but felt the need to add this. The restaurant had one of the massive 50+ gallon outdoor trash barrels brought inside next to the dine-in trash bins and was stacked with a full trash bag on top of another full trash bag (Over 100 gallons of trash) plus the trash bins I mentioned were so full it was crammed into and overflowing the bin chutes on both, with a mountain of just free trash sitting on top of them because guests had nowhere else to put it.
Concerning about overall cleanliness.
**UPDATE** Photo added November 5th, stopped by just to see if trash still is bad. While not AS bad, it is still worse than it should be.

I travel full time for work and chipotle is one of the few places I can eat at due to food allergies. Said I had an allergy first guy changed his gloves (didn’t wash hands) not a huge bother whatever. Didn’t put an allergy cone with it so the next person didn’t change their gloves. Ordered carne asada double. Gave me two half spoons. I had to say give me a third. The carne asada was kinda dry and super bland… I had a carne asada bowl in Connecticut… look I wasn’t expecting much but apparently that bowl sets the bar. It was juicy it was tender and it had so much flavor. If I knew this was going to be that much of a let down I’d have gotten chicken.

Me and my coworker both placed over the counter orders, and the curly haired lady rushed us. She got BOTH orders wrong. Adding the wrong ingredients on,
It’s filthy in here. The cashier is eating chips.
The tables in the lobby are all dirty. The drink area is dirty.
The people in the back are on phones, and have EarPods in.
NO ONE Has washed their hands yet.
I could go on, but it’s not necessary.
I don’t do negative food reviews, but this was exceptional.
At least the curly haired lady washed her hands after sweeping. Yay!!!

Does anybody know the manager of this Chipotle? If you do please have them message me. Seriously how is this restaurant always getting the orders so wrong and the staff is so rude and unhelpful. Trust me I get how hard those jobs can be sometimes. I worked in a similar restaurant for over 10 years. I was even the manager for a few years of that restaurant. I understand mistakes happen. Tonight takes the cake for worst experiences at that I’ve had and I’ve had some bad ones there. The bag my food was in was dripping with sauce so as I walked out of the store it fell onto the sidewalk right by my car. Luckily it didn’t spill anywhere so I just picked it up and put it in my car. But then they got the my order completely wrong. It’s not a burrito. They gave me a bowl and the tortilla is the most overcooked tortilla I’ve ever had. I mean honestly, why did they even cook the tortilla?
If I wasn’t so frustrated and hungry, it’d be hilarious. Seriously, if you saw it on a TV show you’d be laughing at that poor guy’s luck.

Came here to rave about Raven, she is such a sweetheart! I was here with 3 kids ordering so it was clearly a stressful task lol, but she was so patient and nice while cashing us out and again when I was clearing up our trash and trying to clean up the mess at our table. The employees here will not acknowledge you. We walked up to the counter because our mobile order was sitting back behind there instead of on the mobile order pick-up shelf like it should’ve been, so we walked up to ask for it. The guy there had just finished checking out another customer, so we walked up next to ask and he completely ignored us, left, and went into the back to use his phone. He then proceeded to come back, still ignore us, and start checking out a different customer. Every other employee also paid no attention.

Ordered pickup multiple times from this location through DoorDash, orders were never on time which I can understand they seem to not have enough staff. However, the food quality is very inconsistent. Last two times, meat was cooked way too long, then this time the entire bowl was cold and was missing lettuce and only filled 2/3 of the bowl. Some staff members are friendly and others not so much.
