Tortilla tore while making my burrito & a good amount of the chicken fell out. Employee tried to wrap the burrito anyway & I stopped them & asked for them to put some more chicken in since a portion fell out. Seems pretty obvious & I shouldn’t have to ask. Then they try to charge me for extra chicken.. WHAT? Just awful customer service. Rude lazy employees & then they try to steal more money from you. Idk what happened to this place.. Used to be my go to Chipotle. Obviously never going back & you should avoid it too.

I placed an order via UberEats for pick up, and I received a notification that the order was ready. I arrived to the store/restaurant, checked the mobile order shelf, which was empty. I made my way to counter, and found employees including the manager, congregating behind the register, engaged in personal conversation, almost as if they were on break…(please note there was nobody on line). I stood there 2-3 minutes as a courtesy, thinking someone would eventually acknowledge me…they didn’t. I had to raise my hand and say “excuse me”, and someone finally came to the register. Providing perspective: 4-7 ppl were behind the register. I told them that I have a mobile order and provided my name, which the order was later found in the back, ready and packed. It seems someone just forgot to deliver it to the mobile order shelf. Upon checking the bag and burrito bowl, my guacamole was missing which we all know, there’s an extra fee/charge. The rep offered me a small up of guacamole, which is not the usual serving size that I paid for, then argued me down that, “if I wanted more, I would have to pay double” although I had already paid for the standard serving size.

Upon inspecting the bag again. I noticed that my soft tortillas was missing, which I also paid extra for, and when I brought it to their attention, the rep threw the tortillas in the bag, and said “that’s for free, for the inconvenience” and I showed her proof the receipt, and told her: “It’s not free, I already paid for this item, it should have already been in the bag. She proceeded to get nasty with me, told me she was the manager, which was surprising, and I told her, this service was absolutely unacceptable!! Double charging me for guacamole that was missing, then pretending to do me a favor for another item that was also missing.

She claims to be a manager, but the place is run poorly. It was a mess, none of the food had been replenished, whilst it appeared no one was preparing fresh food….everyone was behind the cash register, on their phones, talking about their weekend plans. She is not doing a good job.

After all of this she offered me a free meal, but the treatment beforehand was gross. The manager at the east Rutherford store, needs to be retrained or fired. She is the reason why the staff is laid back and stealing company time, while failing to provide customer service, and a clean atmosphere. Corporate needs to get in there immediately. I didn’t want the free meal, I want you to treat customers with some decency the first time.

Ridiculous wait time for a simple takeout order. The front-of-house line wasn’t even busy, yet three employees were just standing around while the takeout station was clearly backed up. Not a single person stepped in to help, and the manager did absolutely nothing to delegate or get things moving. Completely disorganized and a frustrating experience for something that should have been quick and easy.

Felt like I was getting Punk’d when the guy put a few tiny pieces of chicken in my bowl. I had to say something to get a full scoop like it’s supposed to be. Both customers in front of me made comments as well. So I’m def not going crazy. The employee is on a power trip or something. Not sure why his co-workers just watch him do it. The CEO said this wasn’t supposed to be a problem at their locations anymore but it clearly is.

I visited this Chipotle with a friend and was very unsatisfied with the experience. I ordered a bowl with standard toppings—nothing extra. I typically get tomato/pico and requested my sour cream on the side. My friend asked for pico on the side as well instead of inside the burrito.

At checkout, we were unexpectedly charged extra for having sour cream and pico on the side. This was confusing, as Chipotle’s stated policy indicates that extra charges apply only to protein, guacamole, queso, or an extra tortilla—not standard toppings like sour cream or pico.

When I returned to the counter to ask for clarification, the employee assisting us—a skinny white man with curly hair and blue eyes—was very rude and dismissive. This has been a recurring issue, as he consistently skimps on portions, including meat and toppings, every time we visit. Despite having just seen us complete our purchase, he insisted we needed to pay extra and gave an attitude rather than resolving the issue professionally.

Between the incorrect charges, poor customer service, and consistently skimpy portions, this location has been very disappointing. I expect better consistency and service from a Chipotle, but unfortunately this visit did not meet those expectations.

genuinely the worst chipotle in the area, i ordered ahead and my food still wasn’t done when the chipotle was completely empty and there was multiple online orders ready but mine. 10 mins later i get my food and its not even what i ordered. went back inside and they were confused on how my order was messed up when i ordered a bowl and there was a quesadilla in the bag. took another 10 mins to remake my bowl when i ordered ahead for 11:40 and didn’t get my food until 12. no refund, free chips/guac, or even a apology. completely unprofessional and should honestly not even still be in business after multiple reports of finding bugs in their lettuce.

This location is starting to under portioning, after price increased. Totally unacceptable. After we went back home we were still hungry and we had to make food. Just associates really don’t realize how much we spending and Chipotle did make a price increased adjustment to ensure portioning of our purchased food won’t get jeopardize. Is ridiculous that we are getting served like for a kid after a long day of work!

Normally I like this chipotle but to have barely any food out more than an hour before closing is a little too much. We arrived an 1hr and 30 min before closing and they weren’t putting out no rice, no steak , no queso, no corn, no lettuce, no chips… only chicken, pulled pork, brown rice, pico de gallo and guac, there was nothing in there when we went in. Really disappointed.

Why would I take time out of my day to review a Chipotle? Because this had to be the smallest, most ridiculous portion bowl I’ve ever seen in my life. I had to hunt for a piece of chicken. I thought maybe the bad reviews of this location were overblown, but clearly it’s much worse. Skip this location and drive further if you have to.

Beware!!!! Found two hair stands in my bowl Another one was already in my mouth! Absolutely disgusting!!!! This is my last time eating at chipotle. I can’t even stomach visiting any chipotle location ever again. I question their food safety and cleanliness throughout the entire kitchen. You’d be better off cooking at home, at least you know there won’t be any hair in your food!
