Right now Chipotle lost it’s reputation in my eyes and I would not recommend on going there because of one chain that opened which is called “Tacoria”. Tacoria is what Chipotle was at the beginning, plus they added a spark of love in their food, it tastes and priced much better.
I asked for extra cheese on my bowl and received the smallest portion I’ve ever seen at Chipotle. When I politely asked again for extra cheese, the employee working the line deliberately picked up a few shreds of cheese, twiddled them in her fingers, and dropped one single shred onto my bowl. When I questioned it, she repeated the same behavior again.
This was not a misunderstanding — it felt intentional, hostile, and childish.
I then asked for a side of cheese. She immediately tried to force the cashier to charge me for it and told him to add it, despite how absurd the situation already was. Thankfully, the cashier Juan handled it professionally and did not charge me. He was the only employee acting appropriately and deserves recognition.
To make matters worse, when I asked for salad dressing, Juan went to grab it and this same employee stopped him and said they were “all out” — despite the store having opened less than 30 minutes earlier.
This interaction was uncomfortable, rude, and completely unnecessary. Chipotle is fast casual — not a power trip. Management needs to seriously address this employee’s behavior. I’ve never experienced anything like this at a Chipotle and it ensured I won’t be returning to this location.
I watched her be semi-polite with the group ahead of me, asking all the normal questions like “bowl or burrito?” “what kind of rice?” “what kind of chicken?” It wasn’t anything over the top but also wasn’t how people should be greeted. Anyway, the second it was my turn, I was met with nothing but a blank, cold stare. No greeting. No questions. Nothing. I had to awkwardly start my order myself just to move things along.
She made my tortilla and went through every section, rice, beans, meat, sour cream, lettuce, without saying a single word. NOT A WORD. Her demeanor was stank the entire time. Not a smile, not a bit of effort, just attitude.
And let me be clear, this is not a language issue. She spoke perfectly fine to the customers before me. I’m Hispanic and fluent in Spanish, so I know that wasn’t the problem. This was just plain disrespect.
Even after I paid and was leaving, she kept giving me looks. It was honestly disgusting behavior from someone representing a brand I actually love. I’ve never been treated like that at any Chipotle, and it made me feel completely unwelcome.
If a manager happens to read this, please reach out. I’d really like to discuss what happened because this level of unprofessionalism should not slide. Everyone can have a rough day, but there’s no excuse for treating paying customers with that kind of attitude. People who treat others this way are a cancer to the brand.
This is soo aggravating. Tired of working my butt off and get poor customer service, bad vibes, and energy!
