We haven’t even had a chance to eat here because of how horribly understaffed this location is. For weeks now, the evening crew is completely overwhelmed or the doors are all locked for whatever reason. Do better by your workers, chipotle. Shorten your hours if you can’t find people who want to do this work. Absolutely embarrassing

terrible food proportions, gave us like fifteen chips in a large and refused when we asked for more, eight doors and only one opens from the outside, and incredibly expensive compared to the other darien locations. plus the soda machine was broken and they only had lemonade. In conclusion, this place is a scam. It’s a total rip off, and that’s coming from someone who LOVES Chipotle. Do better and don’t give this location business.

Good food. A little understaffed. Most people ordering online takeout/pick up so if you want your food quicker walk in and you’ll likely save 10-20minutes.

I spent over $50 last night on food for my girlfriend and I and not only was my side tortilla not in the bag but both of our orders were completely wrong. Chipotle needs to hire better staff because putting food in a bowl correctly shouldn’t be that hard. Do better.

This Chipotle is a complete mess. When I walked in, people were just wandering around with no one helping customers. The person in front of me had been waiting almost 10 minutes with nobody attending him. The food looked old, service was chaotic, and employees seemed clueless—some even had dreads hanging near the food, which is disgusting. One worker had headphones in and wasn’t even listening to the customer. I’ve been here twice and both times it was awful. By comparison, the Connecticut Avenue location is dirty as hell too, but at least the food is good and service is quick. This location needs serious management and hygiene fixes.

Already one of the worst Chipotles ever and they’ve only been open for a month. Disgusting conditions, waited 45 mins to get my meal. Workers were standing around goofing off. Long line for pick up and ordering. All while managing to mess up my pick up order.

Quite honestly still tastes like chipotle. Horrific operators. Definitely go to the northbound rest stop instead.
Planning on taking my peewee hockey team here so they can get used to 25 people walking in the door all at once and hopefully learn efficiency.
Take care, bye bye

The closers are actually so bad it’s embarassing. The food station is left dirty, with all the proteins and rice hours old with them taking forever to replenish them; tables are left dirty with trash on them. Going in the afternoon is a completely different experience though, the workers are nice and accomodating and the store is kept much cleaner. However, there is definitely a staffing problem and management seems to be stretching hours or something as every other chipotle ive been to (whether it’s in the area or out of state, in the middle of the city or a rural nowhere) has always had much more staff scheduled and working than there are at this store at any time of day.

I wish I had read the reviews before coming here. This Chipotle was an absolute dump.
My 9-year-old daughter found a short black curly hair in her sour cream. She pulled it out and showed me—completely disgusting. Unfortunately, the same sour cream was already on my bowl as well, so we threw all of our food away.
I told the cashier what happened. She asked if I wanted a refund, and I said yes but I was also telling them so they would be aware of the issue. She then went to get the General Manager. While they were talking, I overheard the cashier say, “She already ate most of her food,” which was not true and immediately made it feel like they were assuming I was lying to get free food.
The General Manager then told me she would not give a refund because my daughter had wiped the hair on her chair after pulling it out. Let that sink in: a 9-year-old reacted instinctively after finding a hair in her food, and that was used as the justification to deny a refund for contaminated food.
I was also told they don’t refund sour cream because it’s “free,” despite the sour cream being all over the food. I don’t recall receiving a sincere apology, but I do remember being dismissed and made uncomfortable over a legitimate food safety issue.
There are so many better options in this neighborhood. This was my first truly bad experience anywhere nearby. Disgusting food handling and even worse customer service. I won’t be back.

Extremely Unsanitary Conditions. Absolute health hazard. They’re going to get people sick. Woman’s long hair dreds were hanging down into my burrito as she was making it… getting her hair all into the food. I pointed this out and asked if someone else could make our burrito. She passed it off to a coworker and didn’t do anything about her long shedding hair for the next customer. Most of the food was also completely empty – half the toppings just unavailable – and the sour cream was warm and coagulated, it looked more like cottage cheese… this place is a DOH violation waiting to happen. I hope their manager kicks that crew into shape fast or they’re going to close down just as fast as they opened. I never post on Yelp, I’m honestly just posting this to save people from getting sick because I’m so horrified at this place.
