That was the best General Tso’s Chicken I’ve ever had in my life. It was actually crispy like it’s supposed to be, while drowned in that delicious, slightly spicy glaze and served in a raised steel bowl. Everything was piping hot and fresh, fried rice was good as well. Cash-only seems a little backward for 2017 but it is what it is. It’s a minor inconvenience that is well worth it due to the quality of food.

The Chinese Kitchen serves Cantonese style food. My husband and I love their brown fried rice. Their egg rolls and Wanton Soup are wonderful too. We have been going there for the 40 years we have been in Illinois. It is even better than the Cantonese food in Massachusetts where we used to live. We are now moving to Arizona. We will miss the Chinese Kitchen. Hope we can find A good Cantonese Chinese Restaurant there.

This is by far my favorite place to go eat. Been going here since I was a baby with my family. We all consider this place our favorite. Best egg rolls ever. (Make sure u use the sweet and sour and hot mustard) great wonton soup. My favorite dish is the Cantonese beef with black mushrooms. I’m driving there today from Chicago area. I cant wait.

Best place to eat Chinese food. I am never disappointed when my family and I go. Our favorite is the Chicken Noodle Soup and their Crab Ragoons. Jing and Peter (The owners) are always very kind. Plus you can see a real Chinese person (Peter) cooking your meal. I just simply Love it! ♡

I have been going to this place for over the 20 years. I purchase the same thing shrimp egg foo yung and shrimp fried rice..I just picked up my order at closing like usual and I must say this food was awful.Nothing like them…The shrimp had a sour taste. When I spoke to the cook all he could say was sorry…I paid close to 20.00 on food I can not eat and he says sorry…I am keeping this food refrigerated and taking it back. I consider myself a loyal customer..I want more than a sorry.

My husband and I always get the pork fried rice. We highly recommend it. Their hours are different, 3pm is when they open so check that but well worth it.

Ok so I hope they read my review and address the problem. Order fried rice happy to read that they use fresh veggies. Problem is they used like half of a scallion on the large portion of fried rice and very few shrimp. This is enough for me to not come here again. Very frustrating.

This place is no fuss, no frills, no nonsense. Cash only. But the food is just awesome. I’ve been gone from the area for 10 years now, but every time I come back for a visit, their egg rolls are on my must-have list. Seriously, must-have.
