I tried Chinelos II, a Mexican restaurant right downstairs for me, and opted for takeout. I’ve had a Quesadilla last night to try them out and it was so satisfying that I had to go back tonight. I had the “Pollo Burrito” (chicken burrito) and the “Campechano Chimichanga” with steak and Mexican sausage. Oh boy! Let me tell you, the chimichanga was out of this world! Packed with flavor, it was a mouthwatering, savory delight. I want to have another one right away! So good! The chicken burrito had a more delicate taste and the rice and cheese filling made it so creamy and easy to eat! Both dishes were outstanding and equally delicious. The usual customers are Mexicans, which is a good sign of authenticity and the service is nice and friendly. Everything they offer is super convenient (you won’t find another Mexican restaurant with these prices!) and you can also stop by to have a beer or two and chat with your friends in very informal ambiance. The prices there don’t correspond to the ones you find on their website though, apart from that it’s one of the best Mexican spot in town! I’ll definitely be coming back because this place serves truly authentic Mexican cuisine and I love it!

We always order from their website and pick it up. It’s easy every time. Some of the best food and best value in the area. I’ve dined in before, and there’s no language barrier like the AI overview currently says.

Good Mexican food. Tostada with the works was on par. Took it Togo but would be nice to eat in with a drink during lunch. Lunch special was rice, beans and chicken or pork for $9. Tostadas were $3 and taco al pastor was $2.50.

Been ordering from here for years, have never been inside, but I imagine it must be every bit the experience to dine in. This place has the best Mexican food at this price point that I’ve found. And the delivery is always punctual. Great get in the neighborhood.

We found this place on our way walking to the 1 train to 145th Street. We smelled tacos from outside and we all of a suddenly craved tacos so we gave it a try. We ordered their Chicken Taco, Mexican Sausage Taco, and Cactus Taco. This was our first time seeing Cactus Taco on a menu so we wanted to try it out. We didn’t know what kind of Cactus it was because we know there are various different kinds of cactus but it was a nice option for a veggie taco. It had a slightly sour or acidic flavor, similar to green beans or okra. It was tasty overall. Our favorite was the Mexican Sausage Taco, it’s always been our favorite and go-to taco. The Chorizo taco was savory and spicy, You never could go wrong with ordering a Chorizo taco. The Chicken Taco has a mild and savory flavor that was also juicy. Overall, what a great restaurant to come across when you are in the neighborhood.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING SERVICE!!!!
I did a order pick up and when I got him and tasted my food (I got steak tacos) the steak was absolutely BLAND. I went back and in a super nice way explained that they were bland and they I didn’t want my money back just a do over. The man at the counter had a NASTY attitude which I brushed off. He calls the woman from the back and they begin tasting the food and speaking badly about me in Spanish (not realizing that I speak Spanish as well). When my order is done they lady just tosses my food in the bag and tosses it to me as if I did something to her. I still politely say thank you and as I’m walking out the guy says “No more change” smh. Super unprofessional and rude, never again oh and guess what? The meat still wasn’t seasoned smh. I don’t feel bad now that their kind gets discriminated again, that was completely unnecessary.

On a desperate mission for a Burrito, this place came through. First let me say that I love a good hole in the wall, dive, no-frills, honest eating establishment. Some may be discouraged by the plain cantina vibe of this establishment. I loved it. There were no smiles, no Thank yous to my compliments, no chuckles to my jokes. I was a foreigner in this place and I was treated as such. Not that anyone was rude, but the focus was on the food. I ordered a chicken burrito, a carnitas taco, and a chorizo taco. The burrito was good, but the tacos were stellar. They brought me right back to the street food carts of Mexico. The dishes I ate were simple, honest, and not fussy. I look forward to trying more dishes and tacos. Recommended for sure.

Had a BAD experience recently. The server, who was a lady, switched the burritos me and my friend were having and when I brought it to her attention after taking a few bites, they would NOT comp us on the burritos. I could have been allergic to the meat I was having. I am a regular customer. Terrible service!!!
