This is HIROSHIMA STYLE OKONOMIYAKI CHINCHIKURIN.Hands down, this is the most popular comfort food of Hiroshima. Each layer of the okonomiyaki is perfectly grilled and carefully assembled on a searing teppan griddle. And when your nose is engulfed in the hypnotizing aroma of the Otafuku sauce as it drizzles over the edges and sizzles on the grill, it’s easy to understand why this beloved dish has nourished generations of families in Hiroshima for decades!
Second location of cult-favorite Japanese okonomiyaki (savory pancakes) shop from Hiroshima.

Reviews
The teppan tables keep everything sizzling hot, and the cozy atmosphere makes it perfect for casual dining or a fun foodie outing. Portions are hearty, so come hungry! Friendly staff and a true taste of Japan make this spot unforgettable.
Highly recommend trying their specialty okonomiyaki—you won’t be disappointed. On the picture the most popular Chinchikurin with beef.
Then tried the crispy takoyaki (I liked it but it’s very hot so let it cool down to be able to enjoy the flavor) and their mentaiko one. If you’re looking for uniqueness, take the crispy one.
Absolutely avoid this place!!!
I am a French tourist. While visiting Little Tokyo, I wanted to eat a good meal. What a disappointment! What a plate I was served on, especially considering the reputation of the restaurant. It was old, scratched, and rusty; and I’m well aware of the risks of heavy metal poisoning from the dish. I made a comment to the manager and the response was “We clean/wash it up everytime”
How can you serve a good dish on such a filthy plate?
Even in Japan, customers aren’t served in disastrous presentations that make them unappetizing!
Even budget-friendly street food is more appetizing and offers better service.
The manager laughed with his waitress after I left.
I’ll never come back and do not recommend it.

It’s close to the subway station, just at the entrance of plaza and easy to find. Arrived at 4:30pm and there’s no wait, but people start to queue up as I get out. For takoyaki you are seated at the takoyaki bar, there’s also a take out window. And if order other meals you will be seated at other tables.
More importantly, the food is delicious, very high quality and filling. They also have the best takoyaki I’ve had anywhere. Love this place.
I had such a great experience at Chinchikurin in Little Tokyo! The Hiroshima‑style okonomiyaki was delicious — perfectly layered with noodles, cabbage, savory sauce, and toppings that made every bite flavorful and satisfying.
Overall, just a wonderful experience once you’re seated.
The prices are high while the portion sizes are relatively small. In addition, the staff interactions felt rushed and somewhat dismissive, which made the atmosphere less welcoming than expected.
A busy restaurant should maintain professionalism and courtesy regardless of volume. I hope management takes this feedback into consideration.
