We loved this place!! The food was absolutely amazing (more than enough) and the staff was nice. There is a beautiful view over the water and the prices are okay. Good vegetarian options!!

This restaurant has a great view of the Bedford Basin. The reception area is nicely decorated. The dinning room is spacious and you won’t feel cramped between tables. The dimsum taste great. The beef with black bean sauce on rice noodle is bit on the oily side for my taste, otherwise I will give it 5 stars.

We decided to go give the new location a try, specifically the dim sum on saturday. The newly renovated location is modern, nice and bright with a nice view. There are large round tables that can accommodate large groups as well.
Firstly the food was excellent with some cavets (most of the food came out cold), the sesame seed rice ball filled with salted egg yolk was a standout. The BBQ pork buns had a nice filling and a good pork to bun ratio, however these came out luke warm, they should be hot.
The pork bone congee was very tasty but again this came out cold but the flavor was great. The BBQ pork puffs were not bad with lots of pork but the amount of pastry should be more. My favorite dim sum item is rice rolls, they were good with a generous portion and nice sauce but again it was not hot.
Ok now to talk about the service which is why this review only got 3 stars, and actually it’s more like 2.5 stars. The service was terrible, we’ve been to Hong Kong and other parts of Asia where, while the servers are not the friendliest, they make up for it with efficiency, it was not found here. Also the restaurant was not packed so it’s not like they were maxed out.
We were there for at 30 minutes before we got any food and then the rest came very slowly, with the final item arriving after we asked the servers (yes we had to ask three times) to check. Nobody ever came back to let us know that they had looked into our missing item either, nor ever check to see how anything was, the communications was terrible.
We will give it another try for sure because the food is that good and hopefully the service will improve since they just moved to the new location. I’d like to see the place do well.

The food was good but the service unfortunately was terrible. Our server seemed visibly annoyed every time she came to the table and once the food was served she totally ignored us. Safe to say we won’t be back.

So, i have to reduce stars to 3.

Hong Kong style. Recommend to try steamed chicken feet, deep fry taro (you need to ask for plum sauce), pork dumpling, fried noodle with sticky soup, Stewed beef brisket and BBQ duck.
Service: Improving a lot after my 1st review. In order to get your order faster, recommend to come to Restuarant earlier.

The dim sum and tea may not be so impressive but the ambience is good and cozy.
It may be a good choice if you would like to taste chinese food with friends and family.

I love their dim sum, but if you are not Chinese be prepared to be the last to be served and usually when the best dishes are no longer available.

Chinatown restaurant is genuinely some of the best food I have ever eaten, the staff are incredibly hardworking and kind, every time I’m there I’m smiling because of how pretty the place is and how comfortable I am. Take your friends, your family and your partners, you won’t regret it :).

We used to love coming here for dim sum, but today’s visit was awful. Upon arrival, the servers completely ignored us. We waited nearly 20 minutes without anyone asking if we were ready to order or needed water. They didn’t even mention the ongoing promotions.
One male server was polite, but the two female staff in the dining area were shockingly rude—they literally *threw* dishes onto our table. Unacceptable service for what used to be our favorite spot. We won’t be returning.
