TLDR: Good food, good service. Would recommend.

We (party of three) walked in around 5pm on a Thursday. We were immediately greeted, seated, and brought water. Upon request for hot water, a pitcher of it was brought over, along with three tea cups.

The restaurant is large and can accommodate many patrons. There were some dragon-style archways. Very cool.

Our food was served in about 10 minutes. We ordered the Salt & Pepper Shrimp, Mongolian Beef, Veggie Lo Mein, and Tofu & Veggies. We also got a big pot of rice (in my opinion worth it if you’re planning to order more than one person’s serving) and, for dessert, fried sesame balls with red bean paste. The shrimp was skin on (as noted on the menu) but it was deep-fried so everything was crispy and edible. They were large pieces as well, and they were served on a bed of spring onions, leeks, and jalapenos. Taking a bit of everything in each bite was very satisfying. The Mongolian Beef was sweet and savory. The beef was thinly shredded and sautéed with julienned onions. There was a nice taste of black pepper. It was very good, and all the sauce on the bottom went well with the white rice soaking it up. The lo mein was made with spaghetti noodles cooked al-dente, not the traditional egg noodles in Chinese cuisine. That being said, it was still tasty. Just not authentic. The tofu and veggies were well cooked and smothered in a brown soy-sauce-type sauce. And, finally for dessert, the sesame balls were perfectly fried and crispy and filled with a smooth and sweet red bean paste.

We walked away stuffed. The service was attentive and welcoming. The waiter was happy to give recommendations and never tried to oversell us on more than what we could eat.

Would recommend and would return.

Standard but good Chinese food. The service was super friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The sesame chicken was excellent and unlike any I had ever tried – the only way I can describe it is “light”.

Chinatown Restaurant is the best Chinese food around. They have great service, they fill your water glasses without asking. The lunch special is the best deal but prices aren’t bad for what you pay for. I will definitely be eating here again!

It’s good food. Just make sure to use the restroom before coming. Their females bathroom smells extremely Bad. Like back up sewage. It’s disgusting how bad that restroom smells.

– Sesame Chicken : 80% is flour. No meat.
– Salt and Spicy Shrimp : it is Shell on, and they refuse to use non shell shrimp becaude they deep fry it. But very hard to chew the shell even after deep frying.

Overall taste is okay. Owner does not greet customers but just stare awkwardly.

Had the beef and fried rice. Well flavored and prepared. Mongolian beef was also very nice. Great place in Jackson.

The sweet and sour sauce on the pork looked, tasted, and smelled like it was ketchup based. The pork wasn’t good either. The crab wonton tasted like it came straight out of an aquarium that hadn’t been cleaned in years. Absolutely horrible. The fried rice was edible, but not much better. But the egg roll was actually pretty good, 7.5/10.

This Chinese restaurant has been in the valley for decades. It has a very consistent kitchen, they offer lunch specials daily and have a great hot and sour soup. The Sichuan beef is my favorite.

Vegetarian reviewer: We were visiting Teton National park and decided to try this second Chinese restaurant. The menu looks great and the ambience is good as well – for family / food with friends. Being vegetarians we ordered the safest most dishes – veg fried rice and mapu tofu. The veg fried rice was just soy sauce and some veggies- it was poor to taste, but it was edible. Well, the price is very affordable. But omg! Don’t even get me started on that ridiculous mapu tofu which had a very horrible and weird gravy taste. Also, it tasted pathetic with those tiny beans.
Please do not try this place if you’re a vegetarian!
