Went after the buffet had closed at 2. Ordered the 171. Was $16, the plate came out in less than five minutes and almost everything on it was fried. The service was good but it wasnt very busy. I’d be willing to give them another try but it was way overpriced for what was offered. I’d like to see what the buffet is like.

I love the food here. It’s always pretty consistent. The heater server they have doesn’t keep food hot so the buffet is kinda hit and miss. Even cold the food is good. I only eat lunch. They have raised prices so lunch is the best value.

No more dinner time buffet, which is a bummer (still has a lunch time buffet), but dinner off the menu was delicious. Food was fresh with variety of flavors and textures (no “brown sauce on everything,” thank God), and delicious. The dumplings (potstickers) were tasty; the perfect combination of crisp and steamed, and it’s sauce just right. Appetizers and dinner was served in good time. And the fortune cookies were crisp and tasty. It’d been a while since I’d eaten there – it was worth the wait.

Decent food at good prices. The buffet had a much smaller selection than other Chinese buffets but better than average quality and dishes. Laid back attitude and friendly staff. The place is very small tho and had no lights on that day so a very claustrophobic feeling.

I have always ordered take out from Chinatown and have always had good food, but 4 of us went there Friday night and for some stupid reason (knowing fresh made is better), we all had the buffet and it was absolutely horrible! The low mien was SO BAD, all stuck together and tasted fishy. The cashew chicken had no cashews and was out so long the sauce was thick; I could go on for ever! This experience probably soured me for life, especially at $15/plate.

Had been a fan since 2000, but sadly they have really gone downhill… I have been away for a year and came back to find the dinner buffet to be cold and most of the dishes seemed to be reheated leftovers from lunch. They eventually brought out a few fresh items… On a positive note, they still have the BEST crab wontons and friendly service, but I don’t know if it’s enough to bring me back…

We did not try the buffet, but ordered from the menu. Initially thought some of the entrees a bit pricey for standard Chinese fare. But we felt all our dishes were fresh, and cooked with quality ingredients and worth the price. Thanks for a great meal.

Here we go. So, here are some tips and tricks for Chinatown restaurant. The food is the most fresh during opening and throughout peak lunch time. If you come pretty close during closing time, you will see dried up buffet. HOWEVER, they will make fresh buffet item that is already drying on the buffet. All you need to do is to ASK for the new stuff. The same way with dinner time, but maybe there’s no more dinner time. Anything that is not OK with the food, you can ask politely, and they will try to accommodate you. There are regular customers to this place. For new customers, it may be a bit difficult. This place is packed on Sunday with a lot of families. If you dig Chinese food and want to have an event here, just ask if they are willing to accommodate. Few of my friends have had dinner events here. So, good luck! BTW, there are two menus: one is the OG Chinese and the other is the regular menu. You know what I am talking about.

SERIOUSLY DO NOT GO HERE. WORST BUFFET EVER. READ OUR EXPERIENCE BELOW:

We waited minutes to be seated and had to walk around to find a host to finally be seated. It was $16 per person. We sat down and after we were seated the waiter did not come back again until she brought the bill. There was one other table there.
The buffet was very small and the dishes they did have out were cold, dry and 1/4 to 1/2 full platters. Some dishes they didn’t even bother to refill and put out. For example they had three seperate plates that were suppose to have three kinds of sushi. There was only one out of three kinds of sushi rolls that were out and there was just a few of that kind. The roll had been out so long the rice had hardened and became crunchy. None of the food was hot or fresh. Now I remind you this at 7 and they close at 9. I would of expected this at 8:30 because the restaurant was closing soon, however this was two hours before they close
The final straw was when the icecream machine didn’t even work. Now we just paid $31 for the two of us to experience the absolute worst Chinese food, worst buffet, and pretty bad service. How do they charge full price when the icecream machine doesn’t work, a lot of the food isn’t out, and the stuff that is has been sitting there for hours?

I paid. Then politely told the waiter I was disappointed in these above things and the over all experience. She couldn’t understand me so she grabbed her boss. So I repeated my concerns, he didn’t respond to me. Instead he started speaking another language to the waiter. Then he told me it’s my fault for coming in so late( we were finished and had the bill paid an hour before they closed) and wouldn’t take any kind of responsibility. I told him I would not be coming back and left.

Ummm, not very good. We ordered 2 orders of BBQ pork, the cold kind you dip into sweet and sour, hot mustard, and sesame seeds. It came HOT, I never in my life had hot BBQ pork slices. YUCK, the sweet and sour was runny, we asked for seeds but got maybe a teaspoon. I will just go to Bamboo Garden where they do it right.
